Jinyu/Hozen "Allied Race"

Some will say that this was a BfA thing, but let’s ignore that and assume that they would add more races. Would you want the fish people from MoP/Nazjatar to be a new race addition for the Alliance?

Personally I LOVE them, I’d reroll Alliance in a heartbeat to be one (Horde main for 7+ years). They would have so many cool customization options. Not only that, but they have the Night Elf skeleton (for male).

They have shown that they can create a female variation of a “male-only” race (Nathrezim), creating one for Jinyu would be very possible and easier I’d say.

On that note, I’m not against Hozen being playable for Horde. They seem to have quite a few animations already. Such as sitting (dancing? forgot).

I highly doubt they would do this, but one can dream and hope for a unique race, for once.

I would rather they add customizations to allied races first, as they are not complete.

Once that’s done; and heritage armor is added, sure

In Shadowlands, I don’t think there is any space for any new Allied Races to be added to the game.

However, I would certainly support a return to Azeroth (and real story telling) next expansions, and welcome new Allied Races back into the game, where it would be more suitable.

Also what Kazcu says… more Customisations please… (just don’t give anything to Void Elves to make them look anymore like Blood Elves).

I would reroll Alliance for Fish people.
I’ve always liked them. Hozen are dumb, fish people are cool samurai blade masters that actually look good in armor.

I don’t think we should get Hozen though.

I think the better pairing is the 8.2 combination (which we should have had not dumb mecha-gnomes and uwu’s), and that’s the Gilgoblins + Ankoan.

Hell no, Give Alliance Ankoan, sure, but the Horde get Goblins who can hold their breath? No thanks.

Gnolls however, now you’re talking…

We already have a playable race of savage, brutish apes in the horde; they call them orcs.

What you say is true, Gilgoblins would be a little “poor” as an AR, since they are just goblins with additional features.

However, while Horde got Vulpera (which is a new race), Alliance got Mecha-gnomes… like them or not, they are just gnomes… with additional features; it would be fair in my opinion.

Lightforged Draenei
Hightmountain Tauren
Dark Iron Dwarf
Mag’har Orc
Mechagnome

Nightborne + Void Elf’s too (but factions swapped)

That’s what an allied race is supposed to be. At that point why is something like a Gnoll not just a race…? why append the “allied” to it? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yea that’s true, in my opinion most allied races are poor in general.
My point was:

A (alliance): Void Elf - Reskin;
H (horde): Nightborne - Reskin (kinda);

A: LF Draenei - Reskin;
H: HM Tauren - Reskin;

A: DI Dwarf - Reskin;
H: Mag’har Orc - Reskin;

A: KT Humans - New “race” and skeleton; (with “race” i mean a new concept, sure they are humans but they are different enough. How do you define “enough”, you might be asking? Well that’s just my opinion)
H: Zandalari Troll - New “race” and skeleton;

A: Mechagnome: Modified Gnome skeleton (not a new “race” tho);
H: Vulpera: Modified Goblin skeleton AND new race.

Now if we add Ankoan/Gilgoblin, the balance will return:

A: Ankoan: Modified Night Elf skeleton AND new race.
H: Gilgoblin: Modified Goblin skeleton but not a new race.

I’m not here to scream “bias” i want this to be clear, just wanted to say kudos to you for the idea, since it would fix this “problem” too on top of making sense lore-wise.

I’d roll a Hozen in a heartbeat. They’re already part of the Horde Vanguard, let’s just make them playable already

Also idk about the Ankoan with the Alliance but the Unshackled (Gilgoblins, Sea Giants, Makrura and Murlocs) had legit more interaction with the Horde than Vulpera ever had. Also both Unshackled and Waveblade Ankoan pretty much joined the factions lorewise I think ? But yeah an aquatic race would be a great addition for sure
