Picking chocolate over fish eeww
Few people would, but eating the fish would still be far better for you than eating the chocolate. Imagine being presented with two platters, a slab of chocolate on one, and a piece of boiled cod on the other.
It would take a will of adamant, or a serious allergy to make you choose the fish.
Chocolate and fish do go together, I found some recipes for it.
But when Classic gave way to TBC back in 2007 they buffed the XP you needed to get to 60 to make it quicker, so a boost was in early retail, they also did it in the Pre-patch of every expansion since on retail. Those ones were permanent but this one is temporary
Thanks Blizzard for the buff +50%, this provided the courage i needed to up 70-80 with my priest. You give to my serv a new heal for dungeon.
@Djansoul Same here, currently finishing two more alts that would just be sitting in a pub until who knows when. Great decision and perfect timing.
You’ve already opted out of the far more egregious levelling skip, the boost.
Why on earth does this strike you the wrong way?
Go to an inn and disable it then. Problem solved.
For reasons I explained in countless posts above.
That’s true, but it was a normal part of the game, part of the original experience.
Which is just blatantly false.
The original had recruit a friend was which an xp boost as well.
And this is clearly just marketing for Ulduar, not pandering.
Ofc the magnitude of “help” by Blizzard matters. Would x100 exp rates would be fine? Ofc not. Is 1.5x for month is fine? Yes, but this is a perception by somone, what is acceptable and what is not. For OP it is to much, for a lot of people it is an acceptable increase.
I usually raid with a small group of people and I never go for top100 rankings or WF stuff. I play WoW as a single player pve game, so my situation might be different than someone who plays arenas (and still, gearing is still as hard as it was, we only level up a bit faster now). But I could understand getting angry over stuff like naxx10 start dropping 226 gear or EoE all of the sudden drops 15 items.
I guess this is really an endless discussion…
What it is really is one camp seeing it as an occasional helpful thing and others seeing it as the first of many things that doesn’t fit in with the spirit of the game, lets call them the “doom-mongers”, in this case monger means trader not anything bad.
Which part is ‘blatantly false’?
It’s really just:
Those for! yey - Go level your characters now while you have it!
Those against - Don’t use it!
That we didn’t have xp events in og WotLK (see: recruit a friend) and that this is pandering (it’s clearly an Ulduar marketin scheme to get, yanno, MORE EFFING PEOPLE TO PLAY THE DAMNED GAME).
Where in any of my posts did I claim that we didn’t have RAF?
And if, as you say, the speed levelling boost is purely to ‘get more people playing the game’ in preparation for Ulduar then it’s clearly pandering to people who want to rush through early content purely in order to raid isn’t it?
You can’t have it both ways, either it’s designed for people who want to level quickly, or it isn’t? And if it isn’t then what and who is it for?
How to get most replies in thread - be aggressive, rude, don’t listen to people replying, be stubborn and sheeps will flock to keep thread alive despite having no purpose at all.
Another good way, that you just demonstrated first-hand is to write snarky comments about the author, and the people who respond, but not actually comment on the topic under discussion - thus keeping the thread bumped to the top.
Same thing here. I took my cloth crafting 70 druid out and about and it is very likely I will actually have my first 80 alt to do some heroics and t7 raids on, as either tree or a bear. I swore I won’t touch any alts at all until RDF is rightfully returned to us, but the JJ buff is just enough to maybe make me tolerate one 70-80 with a new wave of levellers where dungeons will again be possible by just listing yourself as healer/tank and getting summoned.
Good choice by Blizzard and frankly, I absolutely wouldn’t mind if it just stayed permanently. Levelling past the first char in mind-numbingly boring, there is no challenge or fun or novelty at all, just “throw away 100 hours of your time while watching series/listening to podcast on other screen”.
Also thanks because i wasn’t get kicked from my guild because they want an alt for raid split because of the ridiculous table loot in 25.
