The grind is awfully painful and doesn’t even make any sense the way it is right now.
It’s just AV spam for 40-50h / week, there’s no WSG , there’s no AB , it’s just AV PvE race over and over and over again.
Let’s be real, it’s just pure TIMESINK at this point.
There’s no variety , there’s no PvP at all actually, and since you guys don’t seem to be willing to buff AB and WSG honor for more variety, well why not just hand out Rank 14 for free to prevent us from going through this UTTER snoozefest that is AV.
Do I deserve the gear more now after having cleared the same NPCs 2,500 times and almost died out of boredom along the way? What kind of logic is this
For real, it’s just boring, this ranking AV meta is awfully BORING, incredibly tiresome, there’s not even PvP, there is not even any strategy involved (as it should be) , it’s just braindead, every game is the exact same as the previous one, people skip every towers, kill the elites, and go straight for the warchief.

I agree, this is really the worst design and killing PvP fun. Either change rank system with respect to HKs instead of weekly honor, or make rank 14 gear free. Pvp is just boring anymore. After grinding for 8 weeks i can guarantee i ll never PvP when i reach rank 14, because i am done with it.
I cannot raid, i cannot farm gold, i cannot level professions and i cannot do so many other good things because of this honor system. It is not 2004, most of the player base are not kids who can play computer game all day, we have responsibilities. Grinding 50 hours / week is just a huge amount of time wasting. Just change this.

Yeah I really miss the times when it was only and only WSG premades every day at 70 hours per week with a dusting of silithyst to spice it up. I loved joining solo and my team deciding to not respawn 4/6 games because it was against a premade drugged up on faps/lips and sapping on loop.

skill issue tbh. just pvp mid there are always other players joining in.

Warsong is the best because there is a goal (the flag), not just a kill to kill battle. Warsong is the best battleground that provide adrenaline, a little bit in Arathi, zero in Alterac…
50hours per week in Alterac is shame, i leave WoW till this shame is here

OP obviously didn’t rank back then.
That being said, I think giving people some incentive to do AB/WSG (like more honor/rep) would be very good.
Just make every even week WSG weekend and every odd week AB weekend, AV doesn’t need a weekend.
just change the system to consider HKs instead of honor points. Reward world pvp with more and problem is solved.
50-60 hours / week spending doing same thing is not fun, remove weekly cap and decay.
You already can’t decay below your current rank, imo that’s enough because it makes the lower ranks very accessible but keeps the push to the final ranks.
I like the idea of switching the focus to HKs, maybe doubling the honor for them would be a good solution without completely abolishing the existing system? Nice little 700 honor for a high ranked enemy?
Removing the weekly cap would 100% result in some super degenerate botting/account sharing meta tho (again).
The easiest way to have more bgs in rotation is to give out bonus honour in different bgs more than once a week.
But to make it more effective the main issue with the other 2 bgs should be addressed - you can end up with <2k honor per hour or 0 in AB on AB week if the teams are unbalanced. With just 10/15 players and a credit card it’s quite easy to set up a premade to destroy solo queuing players and no one complaining about av wants that, that’s why wsg died out.

i made rank10 to rank11 in 4 weeks with my warrior because i don’t had more than 175k honor. Yes we can decay… I’m not masochist to go for 500k honor in an AV’s life sacrifice (50hour per week) for gears. And even i do it there’s no warranty people play Warsong or AB anymore…
I have 4-5 lvl 60 characters and i’m not the only one having multiple 60’s. Imagine people just stuck in AV grinding for years… It’s shame seriously
It’s AB week at this exact moment 02:30 server time. There are 4 AVs running and no AB.
This could just be what the people want.
I agree, AV is very boring for ranking exspecially with all the AFK’ers and bots. they need to reduce the honor in AV and up the honor in WSG and AB, also make both of them BG’s, if you join as a premade, you face premade and PuG v PuG to make it a bit more fair.

Agree AV provides ez to get into without getting clapped by fully naxx geared people in WSG/AB but yeah i do think they should up honor on WSG/AB.
The new system is easy compared to what we did back in the day. Dont rank if you cant invest the needed time.

Oh no… Classic phase 2 2019 PTSD intensifies “Run Healzforgg, run! The Horde the Horde is everywhere! Do not enter BRD there is 180 of them!” lvl 48+ were awful experience. Whoever desided 12 levels gap is a fair fight must had been out of his/her mind.
What’s your goal? Being the last player rank 14 in an empty game? Gatekeepers are ridiculous and have no skill, no dignity
and that’s the good part. however even in AV there are naxx geared players but surprisingly most of them aren’t really impressive.
Don’t take it personal. Game devs do bad choices not only in WoW. Conan Exiles ruined their game with the Age of War update too so i came back to WoW to find another ruined game… Bad Era for game industry… “dung fly era”
New system’s being easier don’t solve the problem here. The big problem is people forced into farm weekly 500k honor and it is only possible if they queue for alterac valley. No one can farm 500k in AB or WSG.
Another problem is people have alts, and they want to get R14 gear for their alts, so they will keep queueing for AV instead of other Bgs. They are right because they can never farm 500k / week in any other Bgs except for AV.
This is a problem, and old system’s being more difficult does not solve this problem. Pvp is dead, each week i see less amount of people queueing for BGs. At the end of week queue times around 10 minutes.
Honor system must be changed. There are so many better options to award people who are into PvP instead of forcing them to braindead grind 500k honor per week. For example, you can award HKs and change system in a way that same person won’t give more than 5 / day. You can also award killing sprees, flags, gyards and many other things. It is not my job to find solution for blizzard to make more money, i am a customer and this system sucks, there is no point in pvp and after i reach rank 13 i ll quit queueing for AV.
