Key depletion finally gone!

So TL:DR. A system to keep people hostage in a key where some random guy who is as useful as wet tissue paper can get his vault boosted for free?

You need to know not to be stand in it. The guy in question mained ret since the start of DF and like I said reached 3200+ score in multiple seasons, at the end of S4 he decided he was going to gear up a druid (I think it was resto) and found out that the boss has a frontal.

Look I do not leave often keys, nor do I make people leave keys often (and like I said in previous posts I sometimes cannot stay quiet). However I do not think we need a system to make us stay in keys if we don’t want to stay. In my experience I encounter more “monkeys with a keyboard” that make me want to leave my own key than leavers.

Then we won’t have a problem if we ran a dungeon together.

I wish there was a way to see personal competency in keys. Average Dr use, average kicks (or attempts) , how often mechanics done properly etc.

No one wants to look at logs

This is evidently proven in the vote-kick system to not be fair in many cases…

What if you have 3 people that fail over and over, and you are stuck… They want to continue trying and refuse to surrender because of vault… How long does the group have to stay for it to be “fair” that you leave?
This essentially just means, inviting people that que together is a disadvantage from the get go. On the other hand, you invite 3 people that que together, 1 mistake, the vote surrender, they all accept and GG for you and the 5th guy. They leave with no problems.

Isn’t the keyword here “random” ? Rarely is the reason for leaving “random”. It’s often because of fails or an early sign of depletion, and before the crest changes, there really was no incentive to staying in a depleted run.

Forcing people to stay in runs are just gonna make people even more selective of who they play with and invite

Yeah you find out you need to heal the tank when you go from dps to heal  But usually you do not need to dodge the frontal. It is going to the side anyway when it is positioned well by the tank.

I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Does it seem like I really need a carry from there? I don’t have any problems filling my vault, but there are many people who do, and we can’t ignore that.

An hour-long discussion before entering a key, planning the route, inspecting gear, and then having the group fall apart 3 minutes into the key. This is how toxicity spreads in the game.

Why only at 12+?

It’s always the same with this :poop: company, whenever they are about to make a great change they always end up messing it up with stupid limitations like this.

They can’t freaking get it right for once.

There are communities out there that already has those “rules” though? Both in and outside of the game, so why not join any of those, if those people struggle with so many leavers?

it wont have any effect or only effect will be peopel ressting keys over and over when they see people in there perform subpar.

all its gonna lead to is even more toxic community - because the fundamental problem is not in depletes or timers only with difficulty tuning of m+

you didnt see any of those complains in seasons like S3 of DF or S4 of SL - why ? because they were just tuned easier . and people enjoyed that.

Why do they need to join a community to do that? The game should provide that for the player.

Come on, you’re not playing against real players. There’s no reason to feel guilty for failing against the game’s creatures. And what’s wrong with asking people if they want to disband? Why are you so upset about it?

And why do you think those people have problems? Any m+ who at least knows that “standing in fire = bad” will be able to do his vault chores at least even he is not playing a meta class.
So that leaves people who are fishing for free boosts.
Had a GB10 run where 2 dps(I was on rog) was doing 1.5m overal average and 3rd mage who was doing 650k ish on average. I think the the tank was 700k or something.
The run was going okeish. I didn’t care much for the 4 maning cause was farming the trinket anyway so didnt matter to me if it was a deplete or 2 chest.
Tank after the 2nd boss simply stood up and said “Sry. Not doing free boosting” and left.
Now you will probably preach on “how toxic and evil that tank was”. Meanwhile I understand him fully.
Its a 5 man group, not 4+1 baggage. Everyone carries their weight. If somebody wants a boost… sure I can boost but I will require the gold to be paid up front not after. The mage was also the key holder btw…

Edit:

And the communities are provided by the game…or at least have made it available to create. If said player doesn’t want to use all the tools the game provided and just expects “random pugs” to be panacea for everything…then thats the players fault.

People wanting to get boosted will always vote no and try to veto any disband as much as possible. They don’t care if they have to spend 2-3h for a 25 min run.

I completely understand the tank’s perspective because I’m a tank main and doing +10-13 on all tank classes. Most of the time, I put out the same DPS as the 3rd DPS in the group. I had a similar experience in a group recently, and the DPS started arguing with each other and left the group. What am I supposed to do with 30 minutes of wasted time? How hard can it be to finish +10 and disband at this point in the game?

The topic title is lies and misinformation. why ?

I agree with the surrender. It is a good idea which other games already have

You are welcome

You are expecting some sportsmanship from a random pug. They are there for themselves. They absolutely don’t care about your feelings, your time and etc. And why should they? They are randoms strangers which simply happen to be there cause they are after an item, vault chore, rating.
Its not a guild where I have done 2h m+ runs to help some lad out with his vault chore and etc or even communities where people at least have some basic camaraderie.

If you join my key. You are there because you want the chore, rating, item or simply to kill time. You didn’t join my key because you want to “cheer up some random stranger called Lynlia which you will probs never see again after the run is done”. And I would have similar motivations if I would join your key.
So why expect something else?

Clickbait

It’s the same reason people have outrageous claims on their thumbnails or articles. In this case it’s missing out a bit of key info.

For challenging difficult content it is better to use that MMORPG idea of joining that guild or community build-in game-feature.

if so, then you need to ban them for a day.

I have no power here, I’m not a moderator, they post in blue.
