quality of gameplay was always low in pugs, but its the lowest this expansion due to it
Okay? I’m , okay
Messing up class balance also didn’t help. They are picking up the pieces but the pace is way too slow.
for how long, cus balance been awful since M+ been a thing pretty much
That is the real question isn’t it? Well. They are definitely gravtitating towards the meta rotation mindset (buffing up some classes while leaving others in the rain), so people make alts meaning more playtime and potentially: more character boosts which is understandable as they are a business after all, but having such huge differences in balancing is just unhealthy and they either don’t care or too blind to see it.
MDI and TGP are in full force right now.
For years Blizzard pauses any tuning whatsoever for months for the 50 people that participate in that event.
And after years Blizzard apparently hasent understood that delaying necessary changes for the millions that pay the bills to promote an inconsequential e-sport experiment is a big mistake.
I for one am not taking this much longer to be honest. They can either keep their MDI or keep they players. But not both.
I mean you can go back to playing league of legends .
haha you’re so funny!!!
Yep hard to miss a unique name in other games
What does the squish have to do with the quality of gameplay in pugs?
takes less time for low quality people to get boosted to “higher” keys.
and squish wasnt proportional, meaning Old 20s were much harder than current 10s, which also means more low quality people are able to get to 10s.
Both debatable.
It’s harder to “boost” keys now so more unlikely that they’d get lucky enough to be boosted. (and I’m talking about a normal pug having a weak link they manage to carry through)
I find current 10’s harder than old 20’s. Old 20’s didn’t have fort and tyrannical and a negative affix eating your timer. On this basis alone facts kinda disagree with you.
I am a bit on 2 minds on this.
I think the current +10’s are easier than season 1 DF +20’s. But they are definitely harder than the next seasons.
And this needs to take gear in mind where it is now harder to get high gear, since hero track is sort of crap now with the extra tiers on myth.
When it is about the key level squish; to me it was a mistake. Before we were able to slowly learn our specs/roles. I think current M0’s are too hard. Or you have delved up to 610 ilvl, basically overgearing everything very hard. But i am not that interested in farming/grinding delves.
And only early on, they butchered those dungeon quite fast.
Dont remember how much cause i played only at the start of the exp and came back with S2 around the corner.
I agree it took this aspect away which is a bad thing. “Low” keys used to be a pretty safe area for people to learn dungeons - or even their class. Now low dungeons destroy the unprepared making the barrier to entry far higher. Esp since you won’t even really get rewards till M7 if you did delves.
On the flip side, the dungeon population used to be spread through 25ish key levels diluting them too much. The squish solved one problem and created others.
The issue wasn’t that they did a level squish…
In fact they didn’t even do a squish. They did a chop.
Chopped right off the lower levels making the progression annoying for more chill players.
DF S3 is what should be the base-line when it comes to the difficulty progression for keys. Maybe even smoothed that one out even more since it was clear some keys had random spikes in difficulty.
Yet instead of seeing every 2nd or 3rd key level being redundant, they took away 1-10, leaving behind 11-20 renamed 1-10.
Actually this is because of delves.
M0/2 would be a decent place to get gear and see dungeon but Delves allow you to buy 580 gear and get x4 603 guaranteed per day and 616 weekly.
My priest is 607 and did literally 2 or 3 keys total.
Why would someone go do +2 at that point?
And why would anyone do m0/2 when they are far from as chill as delves?
That is, exactly my point?
Chill, reward higher and guaranteed.
Why bother to go learn in a +2? When i can go do a delve with 1/10 of time and effort invested.
The issue was not the cutting of lower level, but adding something that is straight up better at the same time, making player skip half of the key levels.
The thing “boosting” ppl now isn’t the lack of low keys but the delve loot. Run 4 bountiful delves = get 4 champion items. Run 4 M+ = get maybe one item. Then decked in delv gear ppl go into higher M+ keys, having no clue about mechanics.
But yeah, why even run lower M+ keys (talking merely sub +4 here) if one doesn’t get any loot for even more time spent to form a group and run the dungeon?
PS: Oh well, should’ve scrolled down, clearly I’m not the only person having spotted that problem.
