Khadgar in a wheelchair

He isn’t the one making the chair fly. Modera made it for him, it’s a magical chair. He is extremely weak and has some health repurcussions after literally transmuting himself into raw arcane energy - he SAYS so to you and Alleria!
He may not be in that chair forever. He may be able to walk and stand but not for very long. People use wheelchairs for all sorts of mobility issues, not just because they have loss their limb function.

Anduin had a giant bell fall on him breaking practically every single bone in his body.

He was fully healed and is able to walk.

As for Khadgar, quite frankly the wheelchair looks very silly to me. I hope it’s only temporary but I won’t hold my breath. Blizzard seem to be rather obsessed with visual diversity and disabilities - Overwatch has every other character missing a limb, for example and the less said about Faerin the better.

Even if Khadgar is chair bound, he is still a great wizard, and intelligence is still his main stat, even if he would had lost some of his magical powers. Magic is power, might even be stronger than any muscles :dracthyr_a1:

Then the question becomes Why?
Why would you make a chair with wheels if you are just going to make it magical anyway?

Wheelchairs are hard to move they are physically demanding and that is on ashphalt terrain add just curbs or brick roads and they are actively annoying.
Make that a gravel road and it is a pain to wheel on.
Add Grass and without the right wheels you are not doing it in a wheelchair.

The world that is World of Warcraft is not a fitting setting for a wheelchair.
Ironically an Exoskeleton is more fitting the lore of wow than a wheelchair.

Personally i do not care but i understand why people would react.

Remember when he were just floating head. They could had put his head in some mech body like Krang, now that would been cool.

It’s a chair. He can use it like a normal wheelchair, he can be pushed round like it’s a normal wheelchair, he can probably make it zoot about like an electric wheelchair but with magic. You don’t want to fly straight into the dinner table, do you?

Magical. Wheelchair.

In a world of magic and magical technology, the most powerful Archmage in the land who can reshape reality, sits in a wheelchair.

Am i the only one that thinks this is colossaly stupid?
Faerin’s comment was stupid enough but this is another level.

I bet Khadgar is powerful enough to magically create a whole new body if he wants, let alone fix his legs.

I just cant…

You seem to be missing the point that the most powerful archmage -whose uber magical staff also broke- turned himself into raw arcane energy which was not without consequences and his beloved Modera made him a magical wheelchair. We have no idea what the consequences were but I bet it’s a handful of physical issues transmuting to that and back and then dying afterwards.

Not colossaly stupid, but definitely somewhat unexpected.

The peope pulling their Anti-Woke /DEI agendas out of their bums becasue of it, on the other hand… Both colossally stupid and completely expected, because in their worlds alomost everything that´s not a W.A.S.P male with no scars, personality or story is by definition “woke BS”. I dare theorize that in their reality, gnomes and dwarves are actually just pandering to people that aren’t 180CM tall, and not races that have existed in fantasy culture since before they were themselves even a thought, much less a stain :beers:

If Blizzard were actually anywhere as “woke” as they love to claim in their right-wing-propaganda fueled rants, things like this would be put in specifically as a trap for these players to go on rampages about, so that they can be banned.

I mean, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest, but Blizzard IS quite “woke”.

Look at Faerin. She ticks all the diversity boxes in one character. Its kind of comical tbh.

Just imagine, on the other side of the spectrum, an extremist xenophobic blood elf called Adolan Hiletrin wanting to kill all the tauren because they steal all the grass or something. Equally comical.

But that doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is things that don’t really make a lot of sense within the world. A being of powerful magic sitting on a wheelchair certainly fits the bill imo. Though “bother” is a strong word. More like eybrow raising.

Then again we have Gnome fury warriors wielding weapons 5 times the size and 10 times the weight of them dealing the same damage as an Orc. So i guess we shouldn’t expect logic x)

I think people don’t read the quests, watch cut scenes or do the ‘stay a while and listen’ bits.

I think I’ve seen it all now. A character needing to rest and having a magic wheelchair is now woke. Dear me.

I honestly don’t see anything wrong with Khadgar having a wheelchair, he’s an older person and older people need help sometimes.

Even if he can “float effortlessly” that doesn’t mean he doesn’t need a chair sometimes as well.

Not everyone who uses a wheelchair can’t walk, the lack of understanding of disability in this thread is staggering.

Lets not fool ourselves here, If she weren´t a black female but a white male they would be “Oh, what tragic story about a child that stowed away and became a hero”.

And if that´s the criteria for “woke” vs “cool”, it speaks volumes about the perception of the individual while saying nothing about the quality or motivations for her visual appearance. :beers:

Could not agree more.

Where it´s really hilarious is when these same people than have the audacity to claim that they´re “Not racist”, “for inclusivity”, etc, while the dog whisles are being blown so hard they´re starting to melt and they´re actively railing against any form if inclusivity every time they can. :beers:

Honestly, if she was a white male, i would find “him” insufferable.

then again the “oooooh! By the light!!! Climax face” types make me want to kill something.

Depressed human king is annoying enough so, i guess i just dont like paladin good guy types :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Seriously?? the word "Org*sm is banned? Is this forum for 10 year olds?
Oh well.

It is a fictional wizard in a wheelchair. Not any more confusing than Humans still using flintlocks in warfare while their neighbors, the Gnomes use machine-guns and laser-rifles.

I also were not able to see the connection how wheelchair or any disability in general would be linked to wokeness but I also thought it silly they put him float in air on wheelchair that looked like its from some cartoon. On other hand thats kind of the wows style, I hope Khadgar is let recover in peace and gets a lot of rest, his earned it
