When i was leveling with a mate (I RaF with him) , he had no heirlooms , he was total clueless what to do in the dungeon even as Arms Warrior , i was pretty much carrying him.
He got kicked more than 10 times from the other premade in the party.
Its totaly understandable.
When i level a new alt , if we get a guy with no looms who does low DPS or low healing or his tanking abilities are garbage , we kicking him so we can clear the dungeon faster.
Its just that i cant wait 2 hours to end a faceroll dungeon.
Dont get offended or discouraged , its just pure RNG if you will find a chill or rush group.
I have been leveling my zandalari from 30-70 doing only dungeons and holy moly there is always that one guy who becomes so damn angry and toxic 50% of the time for the smallest thing.
Some people go on and on calling a certain person every bad word they can think of just because they screw something up or are not doing it “properly” in their eyes.
This is all just my own experience tho but it’s still sad to see.
What im saying is that kicks are nothing personal , its just a party formed purely of RNG , 99% of people have heirlooms since they didnt start the game around 2018-2019.
I dont have any prolem with newcomers , i can ‘‘carry’’ them and their green gear in random bgs for example since im not the one guy who yells ‘’ OMG WAT DOINK WITH THIS ILVL HERE ‘’
But in the most boring part of the game , the leveling .
Yes.
I want to rush it as fast as possible with the minimal effort.
I didnt even ‘‘cry’’ when my RAF mate got kicked cuz for me its totaly understandable.
If i start a new game and im noob , i dont have the demand from others to ‘‘carry’’ me or ‘teach’ me the game.
I will past the phase ‘Im garbage’ by myself.
I used to get kicked at least once a week in Legion dungeons playing on a 101 Twink - Once I’d killed the 1st 3 bosses solo and got kicked “for rushing, we wanted to see the content”
Unfortunately it’s something you just have to accept, wrongly or rightly. Problem is though if it was an issue of your making that you weren’t aware of you won’t know for next time ( assuming you are still new to the game ).
Amazes me just how 2 faced people are about new players, In PvP can’t have Twinks in BG’s they kill it for new players.
In PvE - F you not got the time to help you learn - have a kick.
Odd I run the same instances many times for gear on my twinks, some of which I could just solo, albeit slower than a half decent group, but you will only ever get a vote kick from me for being AFK or acting like a dirt bag to everyone else.
The point has flew over your head then because the OP weren’t making the dungeon last an hour or anywhere near to it. They said they had technical issues for about a minute. 1 MINUTE Is too long to wait though, right? especially in a level 45 dungeon that’s faceroll already and can be solo’d. There’s no hindrance at all.
Ok, so i join a dungeon, everyone accepted (which means they agreed that they will have time for the dungeon AND they are ready) and a guy doesn’t move for a minute (Who knows if it was just 1 min, we just know OPs story) without communicating, but in most games that would result in a report/kick/temp ban.
People kick for different reasons, I know it sucks but the only people that can provide the reason for the kick are the ones that kicked you so you should have questioned them and if they welcomed you to their ignore list then the only sensible thing to do is to stay positive and move on and understand that it’s not all roses.
In my experience, most kicks are justifiable, during Legion, I didn’t tell the group that I need to do a quest so I stayed to do the quest and they kicked me because I was far behind them and I died.
I asked the Shaman “why did you guys kicked me? I was doing a quest…” I was really annoyed but then he was so nice and told me “Listen mate, I’m so sorry I’ll finish the dungeon and I’ll do one more with you to get your quest done.” and he did! so there are good people out there but people need to speak up and keep their cool.
srr to say but after reading most of those replys and my own experience few months back when i said to myself never a dungeon again , guess what? it still stands
This has been the first time I got kicked from a dungeon ever - and wow, this is really a sh***y situation to be in, especially when it is before the last boss.
It’s just how people are, I often see votekicks, even get whispers while doing mythic0 dung to kick someone who’s doing low dps and pulling extra packs. Crossrealm thing brings no respect among players, everyone’s just a tool, and if the tool isn’t performing to their standard, tool gets replaced. Shame.
Though not all kicks are unjustified, we had a run where someone pulled extra pack in pandaria dungeon, caused 3 deaths, then went afk, votekick was initiated, I decided to vote no as we were at last boss, but then he came back and pulled a pack on his way to last boss, causing us to wipe mid-fight, and even then I was willing to let it slide as I had reincarnation, but he released, and it’s a long run back, so he got kicked.
Try not to afk and don’t slack off, you should be fine.
Just wait untill you do pug island expeditions and get kicked because you dont play with the other 2 idiots who cant kill faster than the solo you.
now days i just play with friends alts that needs the cap and lvl boost. never more “helping” randoms in this game.
As everyone has said kicking can happen for any reason. If your friend could not move, they probably thought he was AFK and just leeching and kicked him for it.
If you and your friend joined the dungeon queue together, then the group probably thought you would protest your friend being kicked or cause trouble so they probably thought best to get rid of both of you.
I know it does not sound fair, but people can kick for any reason and usually do.
Basically this, at the start of bfa i have been kicked from a normal dungeon while learning to play my boosted Hunter for doing crap damage, and when i asked how i was supposed to learn, because in the open world your rotation doesnt really matter as everything dies before you even finish your rotation, i got a “thats not my problem”
I understand people not being happy with people not knowing anything in a mythic or m+ but in a normal? Come on
Gotta scratch my head at some of these replies honestly. Truly a gem of a community.
‘Hey this new guy isn’t pulling 3k dps on level 40 let’s kick the fella.’
Like, are you honestly unable to carry one person through? Or 2 or even 3? Leveling instances take like 10-15 minutes if at least one person who has aoe is a decent player. Is it really that much of an issue if you spend like 2-3 extra minutes(tops) in there? Leveling instances are usually a similar speed to just walking through the dungeon, especially with melees. One weak person does basically nothing to mess it up.
How about instead of the only goal being a new level 120 alt you’re not going to play anyway, we try out a new one too: being a decent human being to others. As in not kicking the new fella who’s having the time of his life exploring this new and vast universe over his DPS, which is probably held back by the lack of heirlooms, but let him enjoy the game.
Leveling instances aren’t mythic runs, if you’re good, one bad DPS won’t drag you down significantly. If they do, you’re not as good as you’d like to think you are.
(I have leveled over 30 toons to level ~100 over the past few years so I’m talking from a reasonable amount of personal experience.)
Please try and remember that there are people behind those characters, with feelings and their time is just as valuable as yours. Don’t be mean towards others, show them how it should be done instead of removing them.
Modern wow playerbase has been conditioned by years of “gogogo pull moar!!” instant gratification mentality for years now which has made most players jaded, selfish and completely intolerant of anything they perceive to be slowing them down and wasting their oh-so-precious time.
You gotta either team up with guildies (gl finding any guilds that actually talk and help members out though) or simply quit the game. Being at the whims of random anonymous people online is a complete waste of your time and mental energy, particularly at max level.
