How is this fair, I joined a random LFG group, Random Elemental Rune Protocol Twilight (I have been doing these all day to gear up after using the boost to 85, currently at 377 iLevel) without any issue, there is hardly any comms and I have joined groups that wipe multiple times, but eventually we get through it.
I have not once been kicked from any group. However, the last one, I joined mid way through, I guess the last healer either left, or like me go kicked. I couldnt have been in for more then 2 mins at most, and I randomly got ported back to org. I was a bit confused and then I saw the deserter debuff and in the chat it said you have been removed from the group.
So after doing nothing wrong (I think I got to cast maybe 3 healing spells) I am sat here with a deserter debuff for half an hour. So now I have to wait half an hour before I can Q up again.
How is that fair? There was no conversation, no messages in chat. Maybe they just didnt like a druid healer? But this is not fair when you can get kicked for no reason and then receive a punishment for half an hour.
You’re right, it is not. But due past events from people wrecking the dungeon the community asked Blizzard to take drastic measures. This is the final-y result of it.
Thanks for the reply, I get that but it seems really unfair, you should not be able to kick someone as soon as they enter the dungeon. 2 mins and kick seems really off, I didn’t even get a chance. Especially as there were no comms in chat, I wonder if there is a penalty for kicking in that if you initiate a kick you cant then initiate another one for x hours or something like that. I seem to recall there being something like this in the original version back in the day. Debuff is over now anyway
Yes if you overtly use it too often you personally get a very long cooldown in using it. You can also not kick too many players from a dungeon, 2 max, after that the system will simply prohibit further kicks.
Possibly 1 person decide to do it for fun or something else and other agree. I think blizzard should add typing “CONFIRM” text when voting to kick someone, because timer on button still doesnt prevent no-brain clicking
ok, so I am pretty sick of this now. I have been playing on my mage (dont get kicked on the druid as thats a healer) but playing on my fire mage.
I have now been kicked a total of 5 times. This is on the Elemental Rune dungeons. I get that my gear is not ilevel whatever everyone with raid gear is expecting, but I am usually 2/3 on the DPS as I gear up, I am fully gemmed and enchanted even tho my gear is not “The best”, My ilevel is 380 so far.
But each time I get kicked, its a 30 min debuff, so this makes it impossible to gear up and play for fun, thats 2.5 hours of debuff and the kicks happen within a few mins of starting.
There is no comms, nothing untoward going on. Just you have been kicked and a debuff.
At this point ive had enough and going to quit, its not fun to play like this, so over and out from me unless this system changes. I am going back to Classic Vanilla.
For this last kick, its because I was left behind on the lift, so they didnt want to wait for me to catch up and just kicked me from the group. No other reason then that. For some reason the lift didnt pick me up and everyone else was in front. That is it!
Yes as you probably read before posting this from another user (assuming you read the thread) it has already been mentioned and since I cant move the post and I am still playing Classic wow (Cata is classic wow last time I checked) I am not sure it really matters that much. If it does, then feel free to flag the post to get it moved
I don’t have a pencil icon, I have one on the last reply I did, but on the original post, its not there. When I click on it (The post that has a pencil Icon) to see what options I have, none are to move, just edit the post
I don’t post on these forums generally, more a reader, its probably been 8+ years since my last post. I have played this game since at least 2006/7 in some form or another, its just that I was so incensed with this kicking issues that I felt I had to say something, albeit clearly in the wrong area, but I cant move it for some reason as the option does not seem to exist.
Anyway, I have cancelled my subs, removed the game, I have not played since and I wont be back, (saying that, I probably will, but maybe sometime in the future) but just thought i’d reply to let you know why its not moved.
EDIT: Ok, you need to post on the original char you created the post with (Again didnt know this as I dont post on forums generally, but thanks Andruid for making me see I can actually move it!)
