Boosting existed in raids as far as I remember, it’s just more visible and advertised now. Guilds boost CE, boost Curve, they boost 15-20 and even +25 key completions. You can’t remove the system just because a small portion of players gets boosted.
Also, I personally don’t care about other people getting equal gear, because it doesn’t affect me in any way. I play what I like, I get cool items, so I can push higher, maybe even try raid a bit. If you cap m+ items on HC level - you force players into raiding, which is not ideal. +20 for max level loot is a good compromise, it’s as difficult as half of mythic bosses. And S1 of DF will be hard.
Now imagine if pvp was giving 30ilvl higher items than mythic raid, that wouldn’t be good.
No, you don’t force anyone into raiding, if max professions, heroic, and m+15 all have the same ilvl. You can reward people with other things than ilvl, if they do more challenging things
Unfortunately, there is a saying that I wish wasn’t true.
Players will optimize the fun wherever they get the chance.
…and I find myself unwilling to play my classic warrior for instance, if I don’t manage to craft/get a gear upgrade for her (which means I’ll be stuck at 38-something so long she doesn’t get the shield drop from SM Mograine).
Buuuuut, with so many choices in the talent tree, feel free to test what suits you. Ability layout isn’t so strict as it used to be for a few expansions now.
Well imagine you have 250ilvl player doing +17, and heavily struggling to push +18. Now he sees that raid drops 270ilvl, so by raiding he would get ~20% more hp and dps, which would allow him to push to 19 or even 20.
It is not forced, but it would be close to mandatory to raid to push high keys and high rio score.
Maybe because people that disprove that persons nonsense are immediately accused of being boosted and other such nonsense to try and support their silly argument?
Yes, and? You still get gear progression from m+ just like you do from heroic raiding. Even the same ilvl, if the devs were smart enough to equalize ilvl, so people feel they accomplished more for not doing mythic raiding 4 nights a week progression, where they force you to cap your vault from M+
i’m just so happy that gearing got revamped with profession going to 418ilvl in dragonflight, finally those clowns can get gear now i thought.
but people still out here complaining about gear. If your not doing the hardest content you dont need the gear its that simple, if you want the best gear go do the hardest content its that simple
I do need gear, or else I don’t play. Have fun in your dead game with only mythic raiding boosters and mythic raiding buyers. There are people with a life, who play mechanically on the same level as you, but don’t wanna spend 4 nights a week raiding and capping vault
How you progress your gear, when you are capped with hc items, but you still have heavy upgrades in mythic raid? As a hc raider you can go to mythic, but as a m+ player you are locked from progressing further without raid. Your proposal is not logical at all. Well unless mythic raid doesn’t drop any loot, and is only for challenge.
It’s like saying doing Torghast is not mandatory for raiding. Yes it is not, but you lose massive power gain.
