I wish the game was fun enough to feel envy over this.
I promise you, I can get into mythic raiding any time, if I learn it, because I am Me , but I’ve seen what it takes in sepulcher on youtube, and I don’t wanna grow into a bald miserable stressed out guy with some manchild yelling at me, so no thanks. I also saw my guild, who I considered as being good in M+ especially, struggle with mythic in s3, and it didn’t look fun at all. One guy messes up some rng mechanic, the whole raid wipes. So “fun”, right?

I couldn’t care less about loot. Especially the kind of loot that WoW always had.
I just see it as a tool to participate in harder content or do some wPvP without getting killed by a rogue before his 2nd stun runs out (the first is always getting trinketed).
Most us can and will participate in Mythic Raids if we are given the chance. But the amount of “CE guilds” or even worse the wannabe CE guilds is staggering. And we don’t want to participate in a guild where “optimization” is the priority.
Had I been completely alone on my experience I would agree with you that maybe I have to try a 6th time to find a guild. But I see many people agreeing with me and even you state that the notion of CE guild is something 100% normal, whereas I feel like they are committing war crimes just by existing (ok the parallel is a hyperbole but I just want to express how dissapointed I am).
So yeah, I just want the “CE” mentality to go. I am not sure if what the OP is suggesting is the answer to this issue but it could be a step towards the right direction.
I don’t like Azmobald one bit. Focus on the words, not on the person. I just used his video to describe the difficulty spike in some specific fights.
It’s what gives CE mentality validation.
Lastly, for anyone wandering I encountered the guild that demanded a race change from me during MoP. And this happened after I was benched by my previous guild for not changing my spec to BM despite the fact I was consistently 2nd to 3rd DPS as a Marksman.
They also had an huge issue with me being against using DBM.
Like my earlier response that you just ignored, maybe dont join groups with different goals than yours and expect them to conform to your way of playing.
I have the requestion for you. Why is this, you have assumed because the guild does not kill the mystic raid, that the player does not enjoy this? For istance - the player can enjoy the mystic dungeon. Or they can enjoy to fail the mystic raid with their friends.
There should not be guilds that demand that degree of “optimization” from anyone. My character is not a munchkin to satisfy your loot addiction. Nor will I reduce my raiding experience to a snoozefest by following DBM.
Your replies only confirm our experiences are true despite the disbelief some others have expressed.
You are exactly the type of person/player I wish to avoid, which is why I refrain from looking for a new guild.

I want a game which is more to my tastes. I want the game to change, I don’t want the players to change.
After all, players are always adapting to the game they play in or they get frustrated trying to play Game 2 in vain.

Yes, I wouldn’t touch any +24 stone. Even with a 3 meter stick. These things stink of cookie cutter builds/meta slaving necessity, the thing I wish to see more than ever extinguished from the game.
