/kiss now requires consent

This has got to be a joke. This is madness, it’s literally just blowing a kiss to someone.

There is more. Fart, burpl, kick and some other emotes are being deleted at all.

I’m going to blow your mind.

Right click on your general chat tab, go to settings. Find the “Emote” line in the first set of options…

and untick it.

Now you will experience zero emotes, ever. They’re all gone. Wonderful isn’t it.

No I got the point.

Blizzard already implemented that functionality, in a far more effective way than simply being selective for “certain emotes”.

And they did that in 2004.

no you totally missed it.

its not about blocking out every emote, its about being selective about what people want to see and what not.
certain people find one emote more offensive than others.

yes, they did that in 2004 and it shows how limiting and outdated it is. being able to selectively block certain emotes would give people the opportunity to still participate in rping/using emotes in general without having to see certain emotes they might find offensive. its a great compromise.

its time blizzard loses this 2004 mindset and finally arrives in the 21st century.

Imaging if you type /sexy and you need to ask permission to let the other one call you sexy

You mean the 2021 mindset of relentlessly blocking out everyone who voices even an iota of criticism or a thought you don’t like?

Seems like it fits the functionality they implemented in 2004.

And what is preventing you from simply… turning it back on when you want to see emotes again? It’s not a one and done thing, and doesn’t require extra effort on behalf of famously arrogant and lazy developers.

So no, I didn’t miss your point.

no, never said that.

you dont even try to understand the point im trying to make do you? im not going to repeat myself another time.

suit yourself.

You kinda did. Not directly, but the insinuation was rather plain.

And I did understand your point fully. You want a granular system of toggles to filter specific emotes.

On top of the blanket system we already have, and Blizzard’s developers frankly don’t agree with either of our positions considering they’re just outright removing functionality from various emotes, making the game worse for both of us

Just because I point out that that the current system worked fine doesn’t mean I didn’t understand your point.

Wait is this true ? If so blizzard pls don’t do this, I don’t care about the kiss emote but the prompt will get abused.

Im offended cause i didn’t get any unwanted kisses in oribos

Just make it a toggle in Options if you must. Tick for yes, don’t tick for no.

this is already Trump level of jokes when you cant tell anymore if its fake or real :joy:

btw Blizzard why are there still half naked ogres doing barbecue everywhere in blade edge while no female ogres to see anywhere? Madge

That is a joke right? I can see the unwanted popup spam lol.

Imagine the PVP uses, much griefing. People will make it part of their /castsequence

In the same boat here, although I do get plenty of /rude gestures thrown my way

The fact that so many people actually found this believable… it’s evidence that the bar is so low, Blizzard is this terrible now.
