They won’t do this because you can eventually get everything given weekly knowledge gates.
While I agree with wanting a reset, I think at least a one-time-only reset once you reach say profession level 50 and have a basic understanding of things would be okay, big warnings saying that you can only do this once etc etc confirmation by typing in UNLEARN.
I don’t see a problem with that, since it can’t be abused by constant switching back and forth and it gives people a chance to mess up the initial selection.
I’m not even mad with my choice, but my choice softlocks me and I cant get any crafting points. Thats nuts.
Yes, this system is so bad.
Did you go down the AXE or Armor spec. BAD LUCK m8, you won’t earn ANY gold, other than if you stand AFK in the main capital and spam WTS: X Axe. Even then the amount of people who can buy it is so low.
Also when you get it turned around and get enough points (7 a week, a damn long time), everything will be sold for nothing, and you just be behind.
The Big goblins who used X amount of time on the PTR/BETA knew this, and spec perfectly, meaning they earned up to 80+mil the 2 first weeks.

It takes months if not even a year to go back and pick the talents that you wanted in order to make even anything back with a profession. And by then whats even the point of doing professions at all if you arent gaining anything from it. Very few people are benefitting from this. It’s not about being specialized into a niche crafting it’s about either having the good tree or being hardstuck with the bad tree and making 0 revenue.

Oh yes, The one spec I have aka azuraweaving on tailor will be super beneficial cough cough cause who would wanna craft that without garment?

You need to litterally spend over 70 points sololy in that tree allready if you want azuraweaving to be successfull and thats not a month.
