After a few login attempts i get this; A character with that name already exists on my lv 70 Orc warrior, wasn’t able to log in for the last 10 minutes…

Yilanah, did you go Alt+F4 at some point during loading ?
I got the same thing for doing just that, I think the server still thinks you’re attempting to log in, because it may not have registered you forced a log out.

Same problem here. I can’t log in to all my characters, and on all five char on 70 lvl i have message “A character with that name already exist”. I changed my Interface, WTF and Cache folders to InterfaceOld, WTFOld and CacheOld and I tried repair tool on Battle.net app too. Nothing help me. Whats wrong with that game -_-.

Same issue for me, silvermoon, kazzak and aszune unable to log in there. Loading screen and bar will fill up but then it just stays there.

No error code. Just “A character with that name already exists.”

I forced log out by alt+f4 previously. I guess, as you said, I am still appeared as logged in. I do not know how to solve it. Sometimes it is stuck on the loading screen after entering world.

Also cannot login on Draenor.
Hangs on loading screen and then disconnects with WOW51900319 error on all my characters.

unfortunately, due to work, i have very limited time to properly play the game. it’s so freaking frustrating that when i DO have the time to play, there are connection or realm issues. bunch of amateurs…

For all the people with the issue “character with that name already exists” you either can wait for servers to register that you logged out, or you can also try to log another char, log out, and log the first char you wanted.
This way servers may have to forcefully stop the first loggin attempt.

Have logged in to a completely empty world, no NPCs, no mobs, nothing. The cities are populated but none of the NPCs function. And the raid/instances are non-existent.
Hilarious … NOT!
