I hear mages complaining about the nerf to drops of DM lashers, but you have so many options open to you.
I have been waiting for DM to release so as a resto druid i may have the chance to make some gold… BUT NOOOOO why did you make the lashers immune to nature?! #feelsbadman

Doesn’t matter if it’s immune to nature or not… they drop hardly anything.
In 4 packs yesterday i got 1 peacebloom and that was it.

lasher farm is nice for mage if you have herbalism too
This is true, but you kill 400 per hour, so very little x 400 = pretty noice.
Cant u simply kill them in bear form somehow?

It’s not the mages, it is every normal class that was waiting for it - druids, priests and shamans.
Nerfed compared to private servers over the top loot rates.
Im farming lashers with pally so full clear is few minutes slower compared to mage and I still do okayish ±30g from selling greys and greens (ah some good ones) to vendor. Then theres all extra from herbs and living essences and blues. Currently lvling herb to max for good extra profit.
Dusty tomes feel super rare tho. I might see one in every 10 runs or so

Doubt they were nerfed in Classic. Often players refere to pservers as true vanilla experience even tho pservers have been tuned so heavily that in reality themself are not a true adaptatiom of vanilla.
What’s wrong with shamans? Im farming Lashers and do 700-800dps on the pulls with my totems. It’s tricky with placement but when you know what to do it’s smooth and relaxing.
Can u actualy farm them solo only with totems? I havent tried yet since im not even 60, but, is it profitable?

2x tome spawn down at the lashers where you jump. Kinda hard to describe cuz it doesnt rly say anything if I tell its under ine root :'D Both are near single death lasher elites but you can loot tomes without aggroing them.
I play in same realm as you but opposite side so I wonder if theres anyway I could contact you with more specific info

Yes you can AOE farm pretty efficiently with totems. I have been grinding a lot of demons in south Felwood by pulling 7-10 (just letting the casters empty their mana on casts while I heal and they come running) and aoe with totems. You just have to manage threat a little so you overaggro your totems.
The Lashers are more annoying as they will hit your totem in the back even if you have aggro, so positioning is important. But I can pull up to 3 packs and kill with totems. My highest dps on a pull was 1.1k dps You get around 350dps/pack so if you pull 2 it’s around 700dps (not counting passive damage from trinket and ring). Takes 9min to clear 8 packs and pick herbs and that works perfect with a ghost run or alt-reset that takes 2-3min, so you can do 5 runs in one hour (5x12min).
We take pretty heavy durability damage though as we tank the with our face while casting heals. So the repair bill is high. But it’s OK gold, not super amazing, but OK and always available.
You want 2 items. Skullflame shield and Uther’s strength trinket. They proc A LOT on these fast hitting mobs. The drain life scale 100% with spellpower.
I am using my normal resto spec for raiding. If you use an optimal aoe spec your totems will do a lot more damage and you can use Magma totem earlier with the aggro talent. It’s not needed though, you can’t do more than 5 runs/h anyway.
They were nerfed in classic, twice I believe? There are old notes and data on it.
