Since a few days , when i click “play” button in bnet launcher , the game doesnt start , then i click it again a few times and after 2-3 min it will start and slowly start more wow clients , i have to close the other ones after. Sometimes it could take as much as 5min , ive asked a friend and he says its the same for him.
My PC is by no means weak and wow is installed on 980 evo m.2 ssd , no other game or application have problems with starting fast
It could be some sort of a network issue (DNS). Does the game work without problems when it launches? Do you see messages like “Transfer aborted” when playing?

Circumvent the launcher entirely by making a shortcut. The only downside is that it requires you to type in your password every time, but as you describe your problems, it would still be faster.
Alternately open the Launcher, then open the Jobs list by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + ESC … closing this again will often make the game launch without problems.
Yeah same thing, mid-range gaming laptop the game takes entire minutes to start. No such problem on PC. It used to start in 1-2 seconds and something just broke with Anniversary launch.
Well today without any reason or me doing anything , i didnt even restart my pc i never shut it off basically , now its working fine and it starts almost instantly lol
