Good day to all!
First, let me apologize for my English, I only learn it for six months.
I am from Russia and really love the World of Warcraft. Perhaps some of you also learn a foreign language? Maybe Russian?
We could help each other and play together. If anyone is interested, write to me in the PM. I am 30 years old and I work as level designer in Moscow.

I did learn my whole English from playing warcraft. With no google translate - had to use dictionary to read quests. Now, when I played classic I couldnāt find my quest objectives even while being able to read quest text. How I succeeded to level in Vanilla is beyond me.

no biggie.
Iāve been studying Japanese for the past 10+ years and Iāve still not fully mastered it.
Never going to Iām afraid if you donāt live around it 24/7. :<
Wow thatās really impressive!

After playing warcraft I became the best english student in my class. But I guess itās mostly the case if youāre looking forward to communicate with new people.
It is one of my traits - I can learn new languages watching TV. I have some kind of āpattern detectionā trait. It has failed me once - I never cracked Swedish open. But French, German, Finnish, all with help of TV. English, as said, was from warcraft (as prior that I played games in French and Russian or did not need the language in them anyway)
My grammar is still horrible. I may know how to type a word, but I think my speech and style is like some NPC in Stormwind.

If you are Russian and learned English that fast I can only congratulate you!

Wow taught me English - school didnāt.
Swedish is very easy. I grew up, and live here, so I would know.

Letās just say that unless Russia comes to me in my priority list of āLanguages to learnā everything beyond the Rhine is pretty down the line.
In my Classic guild we have players from all over Europe and we say obvious things like hi, welcome back etc in our own language. Now I know how to greet people in a dozen languages.
I tried a German server to improve, but it didnāt work out as they expected everyone to speak it well and got annoyed. Iāve learned English from films, games and books, not so much from school. It has certainly improved by playing WoW.
I have several friends who have learnt English from gaming. Quite impressive really.
