Yeah, it’s harder, mb
No, it’s a battle royale.
In OW it’s not enough to just kill someone once, they will keep respawning.
What I mean is that in PvP games the difficulty is determined by how good the players, who’re playing it, are at the game in FPS. I wasn’t rly talking about the complexity of the game itself
I’ve won games in battle royales where the only shot I shot was to finish off the last enemy player after he survived the encounter against the other player than us that was left.
If I tried doing something similar in OW I’d be on a losing streak, same in counter-strike.
If you throw a guy like me into a low ranked game in OW, I’m gonna stomp that game into pieces, my team would have to pretty much throw to be able to lose unless the other team has a smurf as well. The guy that just started playing? Yeah, he’s not gonna be anywhere close to my skill level and will likely be losing a lot of games in entry mmr.
Look for example how valorant works. You also only have 1 life there and you can’t respawn before next round
Valorant isn’t a battle royale. It’s more like a mix of counter-strike and OW and no, there’s no shot that someone that just picked up that game is going to be able to beat people that has played it a long time.
I would know, I’ve played FPS games since quake was a thing. I played unreal tournament extensively.
Me going into valorant was just a “Wth is even going on? WHAT AM I DYING FROM? THERE’S NOBODY CLOSE”.
You’d be very surprised. Some people are mechanically extremely gifted at these games. Some people will beat veterans of some FPS after a short period of getting used to a game. I’m not. Fortunately my skill points are distributed in favor of more useful things
Nah.
I think you’re either vastly overestimating how good a new player to a game is compared to the high ranked players.
If I’m thrown into a low ranked lobby in OW, I’m gonna stomp that lobby and my team would have to throw for them to lose or they would need to have some guy smurfing that’s on my skill level or better.
If some guy that has good aim in other FPS games just started playing OW, he’s still gonna lose a lot of games in those low ranked lobbies because he doesn’t understand the game.
i enjoyed almost all the dungeons and raids pre m+ and Esports once that started the trolls came along whit it and havent run dungeons since, open world from then on.
