Please, Blizzard. Hydraxian Waterlords is small server but it have tight community with people that want to play with each other, that made something special by helping each other in need, making events for whole server and accepting everyone into our ranks.
We don’t want to merge. Our playstyle is a little bit different - we want immersive names all around us, out of the blue RP in some Titan’s forgotten place, events for all players that plays on HW and the world that maybe is not big in numbers but alive in their own way.
It’s the only RP server in Europe that still stands. Let us be or make us the place that people who wants to play in small community can still do it. We just don’t want to be a part of megaserver.
We will fight for our home. You wanted to close us few times already and we’re still standing. Please, hear us, the voice of small community, and just leave us alone (or maybe give some people chance to transfer to HW for free). Don’t close the last RP server for progressive Classic in EU!

The transfer is free and “optional.” You can still keep your characters on the original server if you don’t want to transfer. However, there will be no possibility for new players on those servers, so if the Hydraxian Waterlords community wants to stay there, they can.

Keeping a character is one thing, being able to actually play it is a completely different story.
When a server is locked, it always dies. This is an empyrical truth. The rest of us will be forced to transfer out because there is noone to play with, even though we would have liked to stay. It’s really not up to the player

I should say that we also don’t want to be closed - there are still some people that would like to try RP and would like to choose the server like ours but won’t have that chance.
This realm were small but had people that come and go and that gave new ideas and life. I think we will be forced in time to transfer and it’s just to prepare us for this day

i paid for silly amount of charachter transfers away from these big server, i love the chilled relaxed COMMUNITY that hydraxian has. I will be quitting wow if this continues as simply its a slap in the face, that final kick in the nads that game will ever give me.

I wholeheartedly agree. RP servers are different, it is a materially different way to play the game and the world has a different feel. What we lose for being small is more than compensated by being an environment where I feel more immersed and connected to my character than simply an avatar to pilot through quests and raids.
Yes we can stay and I think mostly we will. My guild has pretty much all declared we are staying for as long as we can. But we might want to add friends and entice people over to a subtly different way to appreciate the game, and that will be lost if the server is locked, and yes, over time, it will bleed and die with no way to recover.
I would urge anyone who can make decisions to reconsider this one.

Blizzard, that’s one of those moments when you have to think twice is locking small(er) realms trully good idea. Because the whole EU WoW community says You otherwise. I’m writing it not only because of us, Hydraxian Waterlords denizens, but on behalf of other realms too. Almost noone likes the megaserver idea here. At least almost noone of players. Locking realms is like cutting of house water, energy, gas and so on, shredding the road to the house and saying “hey, you can still live here! No problem!”
People from Firemaw sits in Firemaw, because they like how is there. People in Mirage Raceway sit there, because they like the MR atmosphere. Same with players from Hydraxian Waterlords about their realm. And so on, and so on.
HW is calm but alive place. Twice a week we kill World Bosses and I’ve heard that maybe will be one more day. With Alliance and Horde cooperation (Ally has most of time full raid group, I don’t know how Horde). And we LOVE IT. We welcome every single person who starts polite conversation in other way that “is that realm dead?”, “that realms is dead” or something like this (it happens so often that we kinda lost patience because not knowing is it genuine question or some tiktok challenge).
Not all players are total extraverts wanting fireworks and explosions every half of second, like some nutty Goblin. A lot of people needs calm place. So they come to Hydraxian. Others want to eternally be in PvP mental mode: Firemaw, here we go. More alive than Hydraxian but still nice community? There’s Mirage Raceway. If you, Blizzard, put us all into one sack, we all lost what we love in places we are now.
That’s equality what should seams good thing, right? But that equality is cruel, because players forced to megaserver reality loose. A lot. Don’t do that, Blizz. That’s not a good idea.
Free transfer to other realms? Good idea. Some people who stopped playing when realm was more alive come back and don’t feel it anymore. They’re caged. But DON’T LOCK the realm. That’s not OK.
By the way:
Hydraxian Waterlords have those weekly WB killings twice a week, like I wrote before. Thursday and Sunday at 7PM server time. We start at Galleon. You can feel invited, even incognito. We don’t check who is who.

After trying a number of servers, i finally found a home in HW. The community is so friendly and welcoming, and its a place you can go to really get away from things.
Please dont lock these kinds of server, i wouldve stopped playing had i not found it. Im sure im not the first, or the last to feel this way.

The german Lakeshire lost huge parts of it´s (RP) community when PVP player transfere over during Wrath.
A lot more toxic then the rather cozy realm LS was.
They just quit.
Similar things are probaly going to happen now if Blizzard forces PVE and PVP player on onre realm without the possibilty to move to a smaller realm.

This server is literally the reason why I returned to wow again after around 5 years. I have been playing wow since 2013 and always liked the RP servers best, even tho many friends rather played on pvp. I don´t know if I would really want to continue if the RP part gets killed of.
If someone from blizzard reads this, please don´t kill this community! It´s the only space left within wow like it in eu.

they want to kill off rp pvp rppvp and just have everyone in one huge melting pot where they can just put us on endless layers too cut costs and make even more money out of us mugs.

Leave HW alone! This is not the end we fought for back in 2022!

Hydraxian made MoP bearable for me.
The idea that many players have priorities other than easier grouping apparently eludes the decision makers at Blizzard.

They not lisäten or care, BSB got lot support but i fear cavalry is not coming this way anymore.
Many comments here make me very sad. Hydraxian Waterlords may be small but it has a very active community. RP servers are unique and the players would never be able to create RP events on a mega server. I have played since original TBC, been a raider, got some server first kills, collected all the mounts and pets etc. Been there and done that! Met my hubby during original ICC pug raid. We moved to HW earlier this year as we couldn’t stand the high population server with crowds everywhere and toxic and idiotic chat. We have paid a fortune since to move all of our alts here and love the peaceful pace and community spirit. Some comments say we are not fighting. Well I have seen plenty of fighting for the realm but it seems to get buried. If the US RP realm is to remain open I have high hopes that ours will too. Please respect this way of playing wow that has been there from the start. HW is home for many like minded people and people who for whatever reason just can’t cope with the masses. These people, myself included would probably rather quit than be forced to play on a mega server. I feel it is vital to have at least one quieter realm on the US and the EU for people who still want to play wow but in a quieter more relaxed way. And for RP players it is essential to have their own realm.
I really hope HW is allowed to stay open, not just for us but for any future players who want to explore the RP side of wow, want a relaxed wow home and ( if they want ) to get involved in this lovely community. There are community World Boss Raids twice a week for any who want to participate, numerous active guilds and lots of players that just like to chill and enjoy the game at their own pace. Not all are involved in RP but are welcomed just as warmly as we were.

I wholeheartedly concur.
We might be a small community, but what we have here is truly unique in WoW perspective. We can offer what no other servers can’t - a feeling of belonging to a family, for better or worse
I came here when Classic launched and never looked back.
Been playing since first day of Vanilla, and have umpteen chars on retail.
That said,if Blizz in their infinite wisdom decides to merge the best server ever with some douchy megaserver I think it’s time for me and the old ball and chain (i.e loving wife) to unsub for good.
I sincerely hope it doesn’t come to that,but a dwarf’s gotta do what a dwarf’s gotta do.
On that note - Stay safe all and play fair.
