Legacy servers: don't do it chronologically

You’ve just released Classic servers, and it took so much time. I don’t want to wait another 12 years to be able to play MoP again.
Please don’t release TBC servers first. TBC is nobody’s favourite expansion, save for a few hipsters here and there.

Give us anything between WOTLK and MOP first. I’d like MoP or Cataclysm first, but I’ll take WOTLK too, it’s fine. But please, no TBC, it’s too much like Vanilla and Vanilla fanboys already have Classic.

Please. Thanks.

Why would you release a tbc server when tbc content is largely unchanged (save a few group quests which are now soloable)?

To experience the content as it truly was back then - class design, annoying grindy stuff for masochists, etc.

Lol yea i’m sure they will release cataclysm or mop after classic that makes a lot of sense and is logical /s

You’re just worried about Illidan and his crew triggering your DH PTSD.

I haven’t seen much demand for legacy servers beyond Wrath.

Demon Hunters can exist, as long as they’re not a playable class with 13 buttons.

Same was said about classic at some point tho, yet here we are.

Give us wod serverz…

There’s a lot of people who’ve started playing post wotlk who firmly believe MoP is the best expansion in existance.

I personally would never even think about playing anything post wotlk regarding legacy servers, but that’s my opinion and there’s probably even people who’d play WoD legacy servers, so what do I know.

Legacy servers: don’t do it

Fixed that for you.

Says a lot about you that you think MoP or Cata were more popular like TBC.

Classic didn’t exist back when people asked for it.
Now Classic is here, and TBC is too much like it for it to be worth making first, as a Legacy expansion server.
That is my point.

They were better. I don’t care about popularity.
Rap music & Fortnite are popular.

i dont get it so the progression of classic when people get bored the on going expansion will eventually hit bfa? Im having an honest question since i really dont understand where are they going with this.

I think the aim is rather to have different servers exist, and each stays at its one expansion forever.

No thanks, Classic is more than enough. I don’t want to play Cata, Mists or WoD ever again.

No one forces you to, just like no ones forces you to choose between retail & classic.

I don’t think anyone would call me a hipster, but well . TBC was and is my favorite expansion still. That doesn’t mean i want to have a legacy server of it though  I thought i wanted classic, but after playing for a couple of weeks, i found out i didn’t. So by all means make whatever legacy servers you want, doesn’t diminishes my fond memories of TBC.

It may have been good back then, but by today’s standard, it’s pretty bad.
Bad class design, grind, PvE encounters are hard because of raw damage output rather than because of interesting mechanics…I don’t blame them, the game was new. And therefore, it wasn’t polished.

MoP was.

Doesn’t that makes the problem persist that eventualy pass the nostalgia feeling people will get bored and move on?
