Disagree – while demon hunters should probably have more abilities related to flight, I don’t think it would be thematically appropriate for them to be able to launch around like a cruise missile. They’re not quite so… aerodynamic.
As for making more races, it’s an interesting thought, but there’s no present narrative reason for others to take on a path that is extremely particular in its scope. There’s no Burning Legion or demonic hordes to motivate it.

For the second part, void elves came out of no where as well. (Ren’dorei don’t bash me, I am one of the blueberries as well.)
There could be easy way to introduce other races into the play.
After Sargeras was locked away, his corruption might have weakened just enough for those guys to regain their own mind back (same way that dks left arthas) anyway, eevrything is possible if writer wants it.
Most of them do generally have their free will already.

mostly i just wish demon hunter wings didn’t constantly fade in and out of existence, i can live with the rest.

I’d be alright with them getting Soar tbh. Not so much the expansion of available races seeing as there’s no pressing need at the moment, but if Illidan can keep his rear flying during an entire phase of the final BT fight, I don’t see why his adherents should be different in that regard.
Will I use this as a chance to advocate for true Dracthyr flight, rather than a controlled descent? You bet I will. It’s stupid that they can’t, and it’s a hill I will die on.
At the time of Legion, if was deemed intrusive to the players. Wings taking up a lot of the screen from the player’s POV, not the character themselves.

As a Demon Hunter:
We did not need anything wings, or anything horns.
The Fel Tattoos are cool though.
But, it is what it is.
I think that demon hunter wings serve a completely different purpose than the ones of Dracthyr. The only demon hunter we’ve really seen taking flight was Illidan, and that’s because the man is so warped beyond recognition that he’s closer to being a dreadlord than a night elf (I mean, the man has hooves.)
While Dracthyr were made as Neltharion’s personal army (which could fly, duh), Demon Hunters are-
You know what? I’m not fooling anyone. The real reason why they’re not adding it is because they’d have to animate soar for two more new races and add mobility abilities to a class that already has enough abilities to carry a flag in Warsong Gulch at enough airtime to rival an Ace Combat final boss. While I know that it -couldn’t- be actually used in combat, Dracthyr players would probably be a little upset that their brand new niche is already getting cannibalised by DHs, and the community would talk about how DHs have “even more mobility”.

Well, you can always hide horns, and your wings are not even visible…
My opinion is that we deserve option to show wings, and of course to soar.
Imagine how easy venthyr campaign would be if we could soar? Yup.
And more races are always welcome
Frickin’ let them Soar.
I mean it too. But let both races/classes use their wings as flying mounts too. I sincerely hope Dragonriding Flying becomes the norm and other mounts will be rigged to this system, vigor and all. So let’s fruckin’ go.
Flying in WoW has been in need of an overhoul. Let this be the day. Let this be the catalyst.

Well one of thoose problems may have a solution
I hope not. I’m yet to try flying, but if it is even half as fun as it was in gw2, then I hope this system gets extended into past and future content aswell. However, old mounts should stay the way they are too, because sometimes I’d rather have some hands-off flying while I’m doing something else in my ui, chat or other window.
Best approach would be a toggle option of some sort, letting you switch between df and standard movement style.

For sure, i think it best they continue to exist as two sides of a coin. Faster but active soar flying VS slower but passive ‘noclip’ type flying

What needs to go is the bloody cooldown on soar. What an absolutely pepega decision. Ah yes, dragonFLIGHT, the main expansion feature! But only every 6 min or so

I love it from a gameplay point of view.
I’m not a fan of it from a storytelling point of view.
But I am a WC3 boomer. The most impressive thing we did back there was Mana Burn annoying opponents.
I don’t see any mention of tails here so I can only assume you are (correctly) in favour of them. Welcome to the resistance, comrade

Those wings are horrible and Blizzaed should be ashamed for releasing them.
That said, give DHs soar!
That seems like a fair compromise. Considering the amount of work that apparently went into flight in DF, it would be a bit wasteful to simply ditch it once the expansion has run its course.
