I am already enjoying it, called female night elf, best fantasy experience in the game 
At least until Valkyries arrive, finally some challenge
Not buying that. I just tried “Orb of Deception” on this toon and it transformed me into a bald Mechagnome with a mustache. One of the creepiest things I’ve seen in WoW so far.

It is good enough. Also a bit barbaric. And a whole lot of fun. All of those at the same time!
Mind you, as far as I remember, I did not want to perform Brain Re-Adjustment Therapy on you, only a… slight upgrade here and there. Clubbing is perfect for the initial trip to the lab. It’s not great when you want to make someone smarter. You’re already smart enough, thus, aren’t in need of this particular procedure.
I think that’s a very nice compliment. If someone were to say that to me, that would certainly trigger my blushing module.

they wanted a non creepy race. Doesn’t mean they asked for high elves.
The blood elves were added because it made sense lorewise.
If you want to talk about crying of players, wanting a high elf race resulting in a race that didn’t make sense, maybe you should take a look at void elves instead.
