Yeah It’s akin to if my country and yours say had a history of conflict, and there may be some resentment etc, but the nations themselves actually building an alliance against a third/larger treath… History is RIPE with these kinds of scenarios.
They do have hair without those
Can’t we just get an option to choose whether we’d like cross faction gameplay or not. I mean you can already choose between PvP war mode and PvE mode. Don’t see why you couldn’t extend those two concepts.
True, aesthetically you can role play a High Elf as a Blood Elf or a Void Elf with bad hair but the whole racial abilities, mounts and theme come with a full race implementation rather than looking like one but an argument can be made that a race choice is primarily for looks.
While we are at this introduce Solo Mode as well where you can do everything yourself including Solo Raids. Just make them though. Token carries stops right there.
Yeah I just think they look like wierd cyberpunk inserts , It’s the very definition of subjective but hey, if you don’t like something you don’t.
They need way more customization as many races do
I think you’re pinning an awful lot on a race. It’s not going to make the end game players go oh well lets struggle with recruitment, it’s okay we can be Helves.
Fine with me. Never used a token or boost offer anyways. However, they should balance solo raids a bit better than in Torghast. Twisting Corridors was a disease before nerf. 4 h just to wipe at endboss so far was the biggest waste of player time they ever released…
Max from limit had a podcast about this very thing on Preachs show after CN. They basically said the same thing, that it would be more optimal for them to play alliance at this point, from a pure viability point of view. But the community aspect of horde PVE greatly outweighs the minimal power gain they’d get from alliance.
I mean… I leveled a lightforged mage for transmog… Their racial in dungeon content is Insane… tons of damage and an AOE stun !
We 've already seen the crazy impact of shadowmeld in MDI, guilds were seriously considering swaping to dwarves in CN(Kyrian tanks with phial kinda negated that).
Kul tiran on fortified weeks is also huge with the knock…
Ventyr void elf with double teleport and so on and so on…
It does not make sense even for PVP. The only reason they did it is because Horde had to rely on the Alliance to join battlegrounds which resulted in very long queues because of the lack of participation.
Also lore wise it really does not make sense. I know life in WoW is a joke but the factions have been openly killing each other for years now. So what? We just pretend that didn’t happen?
And I find it hard to believe that you don’t see how don’t really see how further busting the line between factions would lead to more busting when you are using merc mode as an argument.
I’m all askin’ for consistency.
If factions really matered, then I don’t care aboot Horde players having 1 hour queue, there should be some sort of “tax” for playing the most populated faction like there is one for playing the least populated faction.
And if they really matered, then MDI should also be forbidding those Horde teams to roll Alliance chars on tournament realms, for the sake of consistency.
I really dislike this kind of inconsistency from Blizzard. Either factions matter at 100%, either they don’t but I dislike this in between that happen to incentivize playing Horde.
This is only half true. There have always been cross-faction collaborations. Characters like Thrall, Jaina, Alleria, Turalyon, Garona and Illidan are proof of it. Especially minding the Illidari as Illidan’s cross-faction special task force of blood elves and night elves, as well as the druid’s Cenarion Circle, you even have factions making way less sense than vice versa.
I mean you faction changed 2 or 3 times, that’s ~30 euro. Seems their system is working xD
Jaina is proof of what? Bipolar disorder? You want proof, there’s the Legion intro for you. Not only did the Alliance believe they were betrayed during the Legion intro battle but the players did as well. That’s the extent of the collaboration between factions.
That was the last time I faction changed.
If the Alliance dies, then I’ll show my blue card to other games.
You greatly leave a lot of background story out to that. And you also fail to mention that she almost was executed by her own mother in BfA for siding with the Horde against her father.
Also, you can’t speak for everyone on Alliance player side, can you. Just like you can’t generalise the relation between each and every member of the opposite factions. If people want an option to choose for their gameplay involving a merge, may it be due to RP or PvE, then they should have it. And I most likely would make use of said option myself.
No, I don’t think I left anything out. Bipolar disorder sums up Jaina’s story pretty well.
And I’m not speaking for anyone on the Alliance side, a player can choose to level up to max level picking flowers and nothing else, still won’t change how the story progresses and the fact that we just had a war between the factions that both sides actively took a part in since there was no “stay neutral” choice in the story as far as I know.
And as far as I know, we also had drastic shifts in terms if convictions and felt affiliations. There’s a healthy bunch of Horde players, who would like to see their own “warchief” dead, clearly straying from the shrinking faction of Horde hardliners. Anduin helped to carry Saurfang after his Mak’gora and paid the greatest respect to him doing so following his father’s advice to always fight for peace, even if it seems like a struggle. We basically are facing the SL challenge together just at this very moment. May the content be as shallow as it will, but the collaborative aspect of it is pretty obvious. Despite a pretty bad writing team working on the plot.
I’m not saying you have to like Jaina (even though I’d like to think Garrosh was an even greater maniac…), but her heatedly discussed character won’t change the fact that characters like Alleria and Turalyon are a couple or Lor’Themar is hitting it up with his night elf arcane mage chick in Silvermoon. I mean, where’s the point in keeping the facade that both factions are bitterly at War still when the boarders are pretty much blurred already?
