Lets Talk About Transmog... Again 🧠

I would like that restriction to stay

However
it would be nice if heritage armor had 4 different sets to look like cloth, leather, mail and plate and those could be used on any class. Like I wouldn’t use the void elf heritage set on a warrior because it seems
unwarrior like

Only tmog thing what i like to see is little timewalking. Let rogues and warriors get timewalking to kill doom guard azzinoth before illidan, so they can start mogging those glaives. This way demon hunters can keep theirs tw bt achievement.

just give them mini skirts instead

Black
why can’t we have black stuff? nice good looking black mogs other than the tuxedo?

i would want those restrictions to stay, however, we really need more cosmetic transmog for all types of armor.

like
whats a mecha gnome on their chopper/engi flying machine without their bomber/flight jackets for example? :worried: just stuff like that.

give us some regular clothes as well.

armor restrictions would be less of a pain if there were actually good transmogs out there and not just recolours.

Yep. Totally agree. Overal I greatly prefer the leather armor pieces than mail. So I’d love to be able to transmog that.

for those with alts this may be fun but would just make things annoying to collect mog for character x on character y

Maybe cross-transmog would “appear” too awkward and unfitting on the “wrong” classes
but if that’s not possible, maybe Blizzard could up the ante with the amount and sort of appearances for each armour type? For example while plate armours have much diverse appearances to choose from - there’s even a dress-like chestplate that drops from Firelands which is plate - cloth ones are too
similar with their robes and blouses. I hope with the Twisting Corridors Blizzard adds better incentives to appearance-farm than ever, with a more unique spread.

Let’s remove the class of certain Armor type of the EXACT class wearing those armor types.

What a horrible idea, no.

I think removing armor type when it comes to transmog is a bad idea, Blizzard should just keep pushing in the Originality of Transmog to give us original sets.

As an instance, I feel like Knight mage would be amazing, and the only set that managed to fit that description, is actually Kadghar’s set.

well could work something like this, cloth chars, can use cloth/leather/mail.
mail class could use cloth/leather/mail, plate classes could use leather/mail/plate.

would still be some restrictions but not way better than now, only difference is that anyone not using plate, can not use it, but plate would not be able to use cloth eighter.

becuse for example I am a hunter, and a hunter could shoot a bow in a dress, whit no problem, and mages should be able to use mail, becuse well shamans do it also, and mail is not that heavy compared to plate.

Leave it as it is but bring in more cosmetic sets every now and again.
Like a Mage can use the Stormwind Guard set and a Warrior can use the Wendigo Woolies because they’re marked as cosmetic, not plate or cloth respectively.

Probably because they don’t train physically like plate classes do.
They train their mind, plate armour would end up being heavy and slowing them down.

I’ve seen that explanation used before, and that armour could hinder movement related to casting spells. But unless you’re going to be doing calisthenics in order to bring forth the magic then I don’t see how something like a breastplate would stop you from casting spells. You’d still be pretty much free to wave you arms and legs around. :man_shrugging:

1st off i would agree to this because it would basically mean that transmog could be learnt by any toon, no more plate mogs you need always dropping on your priest and never on your paladin.

2nd more variety. especially for mail users who historically usually have the worst looking gear.

and for lore it could make sense:
battle mages
warlocks in leather cause, you know.
priests in mail or plate like priests of sigmar
demon hunters using mail.
monks in cloth like most panderan npcs look.
hunters who hunt the most dangerous beasts being in plate,
shamans in leather or cloth
warriors in leather or mail like conan
paladin healers in robes
unholy dks in warlock/necromancer cloth gear

im sure there are many examples both in game (like anduin mentioned above) and in other fantasy stories.

I’d love using cloth on my Druid

With a little bit of effort you can do that already. Look at me, do I look like I’m wearing mail?

But anyway I wouldn’t lift that restriction. Something like that worked fine in say Wildstar, because of the overall futuristic setting and the identity of classes way more recognizable at first sight due to weapons. In wow, it works better this way I think.

Cross mog!!

Oh I agree, absolutely. It’s already possible (cosmetics), but the choices are very limited. Why limit it at all.

Well the idea of 1 set per type per tier is such a lazy design choice

Especially how bad most of the sets looked where horrendous.

The eternal palace plate set , even in mythic, is the worst set I’ve seen.

I’d love to use some leather and mail pieces on my paladin

This sounds like a attempt of non cloth users trying to steal our hat.

YOU CANT HAVE IT!!!
