Okay I read that at level 51 you can go in Alterac valleys (classic era by the way) with level 60’s. But I’m level 51 now and all the bg queue guys have literally no bg games active at all on any of them and this is around 6pm prime time. And other times throughout the day.
I thought I’d see some in AV at least but none. So has it been fixed that at level 51 I cannot join AV, or do I have to queue with a level 60 in my party?
Or do I have to wait until I’m level 60 to be able to see how many AV’s, WSG’s and so on are active.
Makes no sense since I’m seeing a fare few people on my server who are getting a hundred thousand honor this week, but for me at lvl 51 no AV’s active ever.

Why are you not on Anniversary? The classic era is dead. It’s just people farming naxx and aq to make complete toons.

Because probably he does not want his efforts to be removed at the transition from classic to TBC. Why should he go to anniversary in which his hard farmed BiS gear will be replaced by TBC greens.
Right now there are 0 games on Era because everyone is busy with Anniversary.
This will change when Anniversary comes to an end in about 1 year.

… And in the process have to deal with what is arguably the most toxic and tryhardisch of all WoW subcommunities… 
Era: chill gaming for people that want to stay in classic long term and aren´t bothered and personally insulted by something taking 30 seconds or even a few minutes or hours longer to complete.
Anni: Rush, rush, rush, rish, gotta 3 chest everything because TBC is coming in 9 months and the sky will come crashing down then, and god forbid you´re .000000000000001% less than optimal 
And lets not even get started on how anniversary tryharding and laziness tanked the economy by happily paying for bots to destroy it faster than a certain political figure can crash the stock market.

im actually playing on era atm after being fed up with megaservers (again…)
bgs aren’t dead. there are some hours where there are no bgs but most of the time there are bgs going. av’s seem completely dead tbh but who is complaining about that since its objectively the worst bg and more of a pve instance? there’s plenty of warsongs and abs

Without wanting it to sound like I´m hating on anni, to each their own, Era IMO actually became much chiller and more “vanilla-ish” once anniversary opened up… It feels like overnight there suddenly fewer bots, fewer GDKPs, fewer people had a problem inviting someone that “only” had T.0,5 into MC instead of demanding that you have full ZG or AQ gear… Not that those things don´t still exist, they absolutely do, but it´s now realistically possible to just play the game the way it was originally designed and not care about them
It just feels, to me, like you can finally just play casually again wnd not always have the feeling you´re on some sort of imaginary timer and /or under an electron microscope.

Expect to be verbaly abused and mass reported if you join a 60 bg as a 51 tho. You will die a lot and you get less honor as a non 60 so it’s not very efficient, but you couldget some rep rewards earlier
Never saw it happened. People don’t care about AFKers, which are visible on the map, why would someone care about some level 51 guy who wants to get his bis weapon?

I´ve avoided BGs on classic, but did they change the brackets on reissue?
Back in the day it used to be 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 was it´s own bracket… That (and later starter accounts) were a big part of why level 19 PvP alts were such a big thing…
There is always a chance Era might become more populated once ranking is over in 5-6 weeks if that sounds a little better
Did you bother to research anything about Classic Era before leveling on it? Did you by chance ask some people, or if there was no one to ask maybe you realized that it was dead atm? How did you even get to 51 without figuring this impending problem out?
You are also mad that people are not playing with you. You are playing something that has been stagnant for years and people lose interest for something new. I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t just do Anniv servers.

I prefer playing solo leveling. Plus this bg thing was a side thing for fun. I want to raid.

Well I guess the pve server I’m on isn’t, since all over the place I see people running around in every zone I level in. Maybe you should do some research and realize it’s not as dead as you think.
I don’t want to do anniv servers, I’ve done the whole classic then tbc then wrath, I want to go back to staying on classic for good, and not bother with tbc or wrath.

When I dinged 51 was the first thing to do for me to go to the AV battlemaster and queue up. I am now 59 and have only finished some Un’Goro quests, so I have spent 51 till now almost 99% in AV. I have never heard someone moaning about us little ones. It was kinda boring but the most chilled way to level, gain exp and rep when someone is tired of questing.
In AV you don’t die a lot if you don’t run around alone. To die from the Marshalls at Van is the biggest danger.

Loving how the different replies to this thread are a perfect illustration of the different culture between anniversary and era playerbases. There’s a huge difference in chill!
You do realize all bg’s on classic era are integrated. All pvp servers, rp and pve servers all play in the same bg’s. I play with people from pvp servers in the same bg as my pve server character, get it?..
