Leveling nerfed AGAIN in 8.0

Well, these 'couple of hours' is for some people more than for others. Especially with 'couple of weeks' doing dailies  Also maybe because you have done it already it is 'relatively fast'. But when you are for the 2nd time on Draenor it probably is not.

I can absolutely not play daily. It looks like a !@#$-grind to get that achievement for only being able to level an alt the way i am supposed to do.
Just before 8.0 I leveled my highmountain tauren from 20-110, with a few instances and mostly questing. With flying it took me 75 hours.

After 8.0 I leveled my lightforged drenai priest from 20-110 as healer. Almost only dungeons, did a few quests here and there while waiting 1-3min for RDF. Took my 78 hours in total.

Both of them felt quite good, neither of them felt grindy.

About mob killspeed, the pre 8.0 fully loomed hunter nuked mosters in a blink of an eye. To fast imo - yes I can remove gear but I like the xp bonus.

The post 8.0 fully loomed healer needed about 4 globals to kill a mob, that to me felt good.

Disclaimer: both of them did treasures and bonus objectives with flying in WoD

Sooooooo you're suggesting we pay 59,99~49,99 instead of €60 AS IF that solves the problem? Why the hell do i need to buy the expansion 5 times for 5 boosts? No matter what you do you're giving them your money to level/boost a character because they intentionally made leveling unbearable to make you intentionally buy boosts. No thanks. €40 is still too much for a boost.

I wasn't suggesting anything (which you would have noticed if you have read my previous posts and this one properly).
You said the boost costs more than all their expacs together and so the entire game, I merely pointed out how the higher cost of a boost can be made cheaper and equal to the cost of the game 'IF YOU WERE INCLINED TO DISPOSE OF CASH'.

Personally I like the boost once every 2 years when its linked to buying an expac, but I hate it as a purchasable commodity in its own right as it very clearly causes them to make the levelling and game play unenjoyable just to push the service.

75+ hours is way too long for this game in my opinion, especially when spent doing nothing but extremely boring content that I've already done before.

I disagree hard on this one. Nuking things in one second perfectly abided the class fantasy according to me. If I'm a warrior with a massive sword and I mortal strike a poor little wolf out in the woods in real life, that !@#$% is dead in one hit. If I am a hunter with a big ^-*!-off gun and shoot a skeleton, or I'm a mage and throw a massive ball of flame in your face you're dead instantly.
This wasn't the case in Classic, where we were literally newcomers to this amazing fresh world and didn't know what the hell we were doing.

It really is.

Back in vanilla, leveling was all there was in the game, along with exploring and other things, hence why it was so important.

Now when we have progressed so far with all these expansions, leveling is no longer relevant, especially since, compared to vanilla, where end game was available for a very few number of people, now end game content is available for everyone and game is entirely tuned and balanced around it.

Leveling does not define an MMORPG, character progression does, and end game is where it happens, when you go out and beat the big bad guys and equip yourself with trophies and trinkets.

I mean you can always buy Medallion of the Legion if you don't want to do dailys.

Well, that's his problem then. I'm just giving him options other than grinding daily quests.
as a homeless elf i can confirm leveling is boring af ,even with 2 level rested took a lot of time to get few levels
Just got back into the game with a fresh account, ye no way i'm lvling to 120 with the current state of the game. And what about RaF, the xp difference isn't even noticeable. I don't want to spend weeks lvling before i finally at lvl 120 can start playing the "real" game.

What if one wants to play more than one class? Fork out another €60?

See, there is more than one layer to the issue. So, kindly, GTFO.

He wrote he needs to level to play the 'real' game. I gave him an easy workaround for his problem. Right on point.

You, on the other hand, are writing about your frustration that the game isn't how you wish it was. Like in almost every post you made in this thread.

That's what he wrote, which just happens to be my core issue as well. What if you get to max level and realise "damn, this class isn't fun at max level"? Then you've wasted your boost.

What then?

The problem here is that the game used to be how he wished it was. For years, levelling steadily became easier and faster. They justify it by claiming they want the levelling process to be relevant again, yet the majority of levelling content remains the same as it did 8 years ago. Blizzard have taken something away without adding anything in return.

Ah, still trolling the forums i see :) It's alright, we need a bit of amusement here and there.
"UsE tHe FrEe BoOsT" Well in a game like WoW where alts play an important role, you're suggesting people use the 1 free boost and thats it? Or pay 60 everytime they want an alt?

I know im one of many people that would never ever level again in this state, nor will i give them my money for a boost. Its crazy WoW is a buy to play game then subscribe to play and STILL we are being pushed towards buying the boost in order to play the game. Yes i consider anything below the current content "not the real game" and im not gonna sit 3 weeks doing irrelevant content.

Argumenting something is not trolling. Accusing someone of trolling without giving any arguments to it is, in fact, trolling.

But hey, I'm sure most of your other 6516 posts you have on these forums are not trolling. And a good indication on how this topic got to 101 pages.
