LFG can be a positive thing

Hi,
I know this subject may be deemed contentious but I was rather a fan of the LFG for a dungeon finding tool. I was able to meet a large group of people back in the day. Most of which was a positive experience and was important to me as I was a healer and loved group content.

People mention that it removes the human interaction. I don’t think that this is a contributor tbh. I think that people nowadays are less interested in taking their time to talk whether they get into a group via LFG or spamming chat. I personally don’t feel that spamming chat is a positive means of bonding. It just creates a scrolling mess of copy/paste messages for a few hours. Hardly enjoyable imho. I do however think that people say that Dungeon Finder is bad as an automatic response without much thought as opposed to thinking of how productive and enjoyable spending quality time with people can be!

LFG was also a very useful training aid. It’s how I learnt to heal and tank in a friendly environment and at a good tempo too. Without a decent Dungeon Finder I think less people will be inclined to learn these rolls. With always a short supply of these rolls within the genre, I think we need to encourage the training avenues for these rolls.

I do hope (though I know they are changing the LFG tool) that I still enjoy the changes that are implemented but I also hope others do too.

All the best and looking forward to WotLK. :hugs:

the people that moan about group finder for both raids and dungeons, dont really know what they are talking about and are more talking for the sake of talking, rather than actually knowing or actually agreeing with what they themselves are actually saying.

LFG is the best middle ground. No more chat spamming and no automation.

We’ll be free to create or join a group while not having to look at the chat.

personally just hope they decide to add it later in. Since let the people who moaned for no LFG be dead wrong once they cant even get invited to a basic heroic due to not having enough GS/achievements and then complain for Blizzard removing it due to them asking for it. Only bad part of RDF is the toxic trolls who ninja loot or leave without reason but all of these problems are already heavily prevalent due to Blizzard allowing mega servers to exist

Aye, I’ve been on discord listening to someone moan for 2hrs because he couldn’t get a group together to do a dungeon he needed. Happened a lot but then they say it’s more social not to have a dungeon finder. My idea of social isn’t 2hrs of moaning as it just brings everyone down and I don’t log into a game to feel miserable. :frowning:
