Hahaha It is totally not about me this LFR topic. Thank you very much for your concerns. I am totally fine. I have for more than 15 years a full time job as developer/programmer.
I am a vision thinking instead of words. I need a big picture first before a word has meaning. That means books/text are an addition but never the first for learning. I make an image of new words and when i get into content the images i created myself are not corresponding with the images i get on my screen. And it is also not something like âoh but this is something similar as i had created myselfâ. That is not how it works.
I guess thatâs true, I strayed a bit. Iâm glad youâre doing well and I hope you keep doing well!
I see, itâs similar for me, but Iâm an auditative learner. That doesnât of course mean I donât learn anything from text, I just learn better from hearing things.
But I feel like weâve talked about it enough and I shouldnât attempt to derail anything anymore, cheers to you and thanks for the talk!
Yes they do, everyone has the same access, you can grind the ilvel and easily get invited through group finder. HC is obviously going to be different but normal is so watered down these days its equivalent to the old LFRs back in the day.
If you need Experience jump into normal Donât waste time, waiting for LFR to come out. The more time you waste, the less likely it is youâll be able to get into Pugs. LFR isnât meant to be a stepping stone into Normal. Its meant to show people who want to âExperienceâ(not that you really experience it, because its dumbed-down) the raid. You say later that your guild doesnât raid, but Iâm sure if you asked around, you could easily find 9 people to form a group to progress through normal. I understand you donât want to cause a wipe, but it happens in progress. You shouldnât be scared to make mistakes if your in a guild group, which in a lot of cases is the best way to raid.
And the mechanics are barely there. w Every so often a wipe mechanic is there but its few and far between.
Yes, I am, because itâs not a tool for learning. If you play LFR to experience the raid or story sure I guess, but if youâre looking to learn and improve, itâs not the place for it, there are better ways to learn and better ways to play the game.
Because in a lot of cases, quite a few players going into LFR donât know what there doing and depend on others to know what there doing. as someone does point out, really it only takes a few people knowing what there doing.
You are contradicting yourself by saying there is nothing to learn, and then say there are people carrying lfr because quite a few go into lfr without knowing what they are doing.
Again, in your opinion which is totally subjective and holds no truth or value to anyone else.It would have been more constructive if you explained how someone else running a mode of the game affects you.
Except it isnât my opinion that it isnât a tool for learning, Its a fact. The introduction of LFR wasnât to teach people about the raid, it was to give people an incredibly easy way to look at the story. It doensât effect me, I never said it does. Im just giving the guy advice on how to make his expirence in game and with raiding better. Running LFR to teach your self about the raid does not benefit you in anwayâŚ
i understand a normal/heroic/mythic raider is learning nothing there since that player already did the raid on higher difficulties. But i havenât done it on any. This is my first time there. So I do learn a lot there.
Youâve missed what im trying to say. Im saying you should just start on normal. How do you think Normal Raiders learn mechanics or Heroic or mythic raiders? On my first time in Nyâalotha, Palace, BoD and Uldir I went into normal to learn. From what you said earlier, you seem to be a decent player so make the push, to be better and push your skill level.
How am i creating a group without having any knowledge. For real. I can see, experience, learn basic mechanics in a pretty safe environment. It is queueable and even winged so it is just 3 bosses to not get overwhelmed. It is perfect.
When i am done i create my own group for normal and i have something to add to my group. Pugging is not for progressing and wiping for 25 hours on the same boss. People usually just leave after a (couple) wipes.
What am i supposed to do? Create a normal group âjoin me, i know nothing about it, havent seen and experienced 1 second of the raid, but please join me!â
Addition: by the time i am done with LFR i am also nicely overgeared by M+, so it should not be too difficult either I am already bag ilvl 463 anyway.
How do you think people first making the pugs on day one do it? They probably read a guide then run in to properly learn the fights. Like I said, the longer you wait to get into pugs, the less likely you are to probably get into it. But really, I dont think pugs are great.
really you should Try asking people in your guild, before creating a pug. I imagine there will be other players in your guild that would want to start raiding, Gather them together and set a schedule and learn the fights together. You only need 9 other players. Progress raiding is fun and when you do it with friends/guildies its even better. Donât be afraid to make mistakes, learn together with friends and youâll have a much better experience with raiding.
All im really saying is, you should just try proper raiding. If you dont like it, you dont like it. But I think your really missing out on some off WoWâs best content
Play how you want to play and how you feel comfortable - whatever anyone else says. The point of the game is to have fun, so if youâre getting stressed out doing stuff youâre not comfortable with, then youâre not having fun and youâre doing it wrong.
If you do want to try raiding on normal and happen to be free on Thursday and Sunday evenings (7.30-10pm realm time), I am sure you would be welcome to join my casual guild group on our runs But again, I can understand that for some people, their availability and playtimes donât enable them to participate in regularly scheduled raiding etc (hence the need for pugs and/or LFR).
Been there done that. Have even raid leaded heroic up to zac voz in Uldir (damn what was the name of the spider). But it was 1 evening of fun. Realistically it is not going to happen. I also havent raided that much at all in bfa for several reasons. But legion was top-time. With just progressing from LFR up to heroic. I pugged almost everything.
In BoD-time i was standing in the pyramid and someone next to me asked me to join for Mythic Champions, when i hadnt done any heroic boss. But we managed to kill it and afterwards i was able to join more weeks (have 11 kills).
It is all fine. I have a lot of fun. My main focus is M+ anyway. Raiding i do on the side in the weekend when i have spare time. I will work my way up. Like i said; i also just make my own group. But LFR has a very nice spot in the learning curve
They should remove âLFRâ!
I never do raids cuz Im not a social guy.
Why cant you just queue for raids just like SWTOR?
Remove the stupid keys⌠just make raids open for everyone.
If the raid doesnt work (nub players), just queue for another one.
