''Old tier LFRs should reward appropriate rewards (+5 lvls from HC dungeons)
Nobody queues for them, it takes ages to do, esp in fights like ghuun and azshara, and the rewards are BAD.
Current tier LFRs should reward +5 rewards from mythic dungeons.
It’s much harder to do and takes 1hour on average. A mythic dungeon takes 15-20 mins.
This will help new players, casual players and elitists farming LFR transmog sets, everyone happy, make it happen.
EG. LFR Uldir gives 340 gear with chance to warforge to 345. Random NORMAL DUNGEON takes 20 mins max, and gives 400 gear.
LFR azshara gives 400 gear. usually 2-3 wipes. 1 hour at least. Random HC dungeon takes 25 mins, gives 415 gear.
In the meantime people complain about the amount of wipes in LFR. And not only NZoth. It is raiding and it is challenging. Even with being the lowest difficulty.
It is just the same fights like in normal or even heroic. Except a little damage. When you stand in all the shi t you also die. It is a perfect way to learn the mechanics. Standing in the shadows of the slamming tentacles on the 1 before last boss you just get 1 shotted too, even as 460+ ilvl.
I do LFR because it give a sense of achievement and it allows you the experience the whole Story. i mainly solo and LFR are what made me come back to wow. It’s true that for me that the best thing would be to do those same content in a special 1 to 5 story mode made for people who don’t raid in general.
Problem with lfr is devs do not know what to do with it. It is meant to make people who do not raid to see the content. Gear won’t fix it , removing lfr and giving a single player story mode thingy with cosmetic rewards will fix it.
Btw lfr is not harder then a mythic dungeon , you are just overgeared for that dungeon. Current wq gear can probably carry you through up to +10s.
For that uldir example i have another example. Yesterday we 3 manned heroic dazar alor first boss. Imagine lfr dazar alor is dropping 420 what would heroic drop? 440? That could basically destroy the current gearing system. You can 3 man maybe even 2 man almost every boss on uldir with exception of ghuun atm if you are geared enough.
Lfr is only harder because majority has 0 idea what they are doing there. During legion people qued up for lfr to get a chance to receive a legendary and on bfa it doesn’t exist so no one who can solo carry the raid ques up atm. If you want to see a real raiding experience and improve yourself go pug normal or heroic. Because you are basically wasting your time in lfr for nothing while you can put same time and determination into harder difficulty.
There is no other difficulty that is queuable and winged. And it is amazing for seeing and learning the fights. I do not understand the fuzz. LFR is really amazing to do.
It would be same as raid, only difference is you fight alongside NPCs of wow heros that do the necesary roles, and insta rez you if u die. Like a simulated raid with no room to fail.
It requires no AI, can all be scripted… Allow for a few players, so ppl can go with friends.
Fact is some people find even LFR too hard and tedious.
Usually when you consider all the factors LFR is harder than normal in relative terms.
Ofc you can keep LFR and also have story mode, the two arent exclusive.
Most of the BFA lfr were pretty lethal on their first weeks for reasons you can imagine. They are definitely some of the easiest content in the game (lfr actually being easier) but you could actually die.
Definitely clearable on a few tries but you usually needed someone to carry the raid, especially with encounters such a ghunn where you need to a mini game while the party DPS the boss
And then came Nzoth, where even mythic raiders wouldn’t be able to carry their team and have to die multiple times to down the boss. Reaching 10 determination stacks wasn’t that unexpected up to a few weeks ago due to the nature of the nzoth encounter. A lot of players outright spent hours trying to kill nzoth in lfr, at all levels of progress from lfr heroes to mythic raiders. Just because lfr heroes don’t check their sanity and get mind controlled…
It fundamentally is content, just like mythic raiding is Content altho you’ll most likely never try it (statistically, didn’t bother checking your achievements fyi)
