Lfr waiting times

I haven’t raided much this xpac, with all the trials and tribulations of Shadowlands my guild hasn’t been that active, I’ve had breaks from time to time also. However I find myself at a loss for things to do ingame so I thought I would try lfr out.

Castle Nathria had me waiting over an hour I got bored and left.

Sanctum of domination likewise.

Sepulcher of the First Ones gave me a wait time of 45 minutes.

I thought it was because of the time I was queuing irl so I waited for evenings and weekends and it got worse.

Am I missing somthing here?. Is there a better time to queue and if so are there any suggestions when that is.

I said this before and I repeat it again.

ALL LFRs (including previous patch ones) should reward ilvl at least same or higher than M0 as it takes much more effort and time to do it.

This provides a catchup mechanic for alts, new players and gives opportunity for new players to experience the expansion. (main questline is linear > eg defeat Denathrius… to see the cutscene…)

As for Nathria and Sanctum:
No one really wants to play that anymore, even less in LFR…

As for Sepulcher:
In recent weeks I noticed that those that know how to play are fed up with carrying those that don’t know how to play. Last two times I was in LFR on Halondrus there were several(!) entities (player would imply that the actually play…so just no) in the group that even though they managed to not outright die, only managed to do 400 DPS (last place even behind all 5 healers). When I dared to mention that in Raidchat I got flamed for being toxic against them…

Then on LFR you have guys queing as healer that besides not having any idea on how to heal outright refuse to heal because they are damage dealers and openly admit just queing as healers because it’s faster…

I myself led the damagemeter with quite a margin (6k vs 5k the second) with only 220 gear.

Then there is not really a reason for people to go LFR more than once or twice since +2 gives you better gear than LFR does. So what is the reason for an experienced and geared player to stress oneself there? I quit LFR after that and would rather do 8x +2 if I do need to get 3 vault-items…

Yes, that Castle Nathria has been out for over a year; that Sanctum was one of the longest patches ever and that the trend seems to be to subscribe at the start of the patch so they play for a week or two instead of subscribing by the end of a patch.

You are Qing as a DPS :upside_down_face:

On a more serious note: At the start of 9.2 alot of ppl were Qing LFR (including me) too obtain our 4 set eassier. After we obtained our 4 set (or CC released) I don’t see the point in doing LFR anymore.
LFR is a cespit of toxic players and ppl unable to used their WASD keys too dodge abilities…
It is straight up irritating for me to do, so I can only understand other ppl would avoid it aswell…

Karazan and all other raids on TBC has benn out for over year too and people still do them all the time.

Took me 4 days to find a Nathtia group queueing for over 3 hours each day.
I managed to find a group yesterday but I suspect this is mostly because it was reset day and people aren’t so focused on the weekly stuff.

Ok but in retail works different my guy.
There’s none useful items from CN and three trinkets from SoD, mythic ilvl only.

And if you wanted to turn this discussion into Classic vs Retail with your poor attempt go ahead someone will probably bother with that in this forum.

It’s always harder to queue for the previous tiers, most have no reason to do them.

S4 they will be coming round on rotation for fated raids, so hopefully you’ll have more luck then.

I have to admit with SoFO I’ve not really had to go there much. I’ve been collecting the looks using the creation catalyst.

game’s as dead as it can be, and dying more and more each day.

Devs are imcompetent and trying to sabotage the game as much as possible.

This is a good idea.

I know Blizz wants the latest raid to be current. But at least if it’s “Entry level” gear. it gives people a chance to do something different.

Bull.

Enjoy your GDKP’s and let us enjoy our game.
Thanks classic andy :kissing:

That the actual raid is dead in LfR shows how bad the whole design around gearing is. And this relates to the sad state of the whole game.

It’s not only about gearing though.
I will for example never revisit old content, bieing it for smog or mounts I just don’t care and cba…
I want to play the current (“harder”) content.
I already conquered all previous challenges, so I don’t find enjoyment facerolling content… Exactly for this reason I don’t enter LFR at all (only did it first weeks for Tier pieces)…

Would be suprised if I’d be the only one thinking like this.

That’s not “old” content.
LfR is meant for story reasons and gearing for players that don’t raid normally.

If that isn’t working in an actual still running expansion the game is dead and the content is terribly designed.

But if you already conquered previous challenges there is no place for M+ in WoW, because that is repeating an already conquered challenge over and over and over.
You can’t do world quests either, etc.

I wasn’t refferring LFR as old content

M+ scales up infinitely harder though.

I exclusivily did WQs at start of 9.0 to upgrade renown on all 4 covenants. Since then I haven’t touched on WQ on any off my chars, also simply because it’s redudant “content”…

It doesn’t matter how M+ scales. You get to the point where you “did it” and it’s only repeating itself. Same with raiding. You killed a boss after x tries and at that point it gets easier with every id.
The same goes for M+. Especially with a fixed group.

The whole problem with SL is that content doesn’t matter at all as soon it is a month old and it doesn’t reward people for their efforts - it rewards a very small number of people and the rest can go f themselves.
I’d really like to see how the story would have gone, that’s the bread and butter of an mmorpg, and the game doesn’t let me. It throws me into a mediocre story, with spoilers everywhere and I can’t even use the “story mode” LfR to see what happened in the Sepulcher (or the other raids before)
The whole game is broken and all Blizzard does it “YOU WANNA SEE MORE ESPORTS? NO? BUT DON’T YOU GUYS LIKE ESPORTS?” while the rest of the game goes where D3 is. DEAD with a season.

I exclusivily did WQs at start of 9.0 to upgrade renown on all 4 covenants. Since then I haven’t touched on WQ on any off my chars, also simply because it’s redudant “content”

Ask yourself why, because WQ give you no rewards. They have nothing you want. They just eat your time.
That’s why M+ is a thing. It takes less time and has huge rewards for almost no effort. If I do WQ on one character I’m playing 2 hours at least - with flying and I get no useful rewards at all.
Or let’s say I wanna do ZM for those relic stuff. It takes hours to farm them and you need 300 for a 245 piece.
Or let’s say I have a raid guild and we raid twice a week. That’s easily 3 hours+ with less rewards than doing M+ for 3 hours that day.

As I said the whole structure of the game is terrible.

That is WoW for 14+ years already…

Ever since they started expansions their older content got littarly deleted out of the “content” group…

They would need to start re-scaling and re-implementing stuff to make it all relevenant again…
They are trying this with season 4 but I am already dreading doing this “content”…
