LFR determination buff should be 15%.
It’s currently unbearable wiping 10 times, wasting 2 hours on 2 bosses.
Please.
Or… people joining LFR could read up on the fights and not try to ignore the un-ignorable mechanics?
I’m sorry, but I’m in favour of things that require players to get better at the game rather than dumbing the system down until everything is tank-n-spank. Only 3 bosses per LFR wing, it’s not hard to read/watch some guides on the Normal fight and be prepared. Plenty of time in those queues.
What’s the point of making something hard that’s not supposed to be hard. There are 4 difficulties for a reason.
yeah come here and play the game for 10 ppl so clueless after 15 years still stand in aoe
Depends what you define as hard? LFR is pretty low yet it’s still a raid. In Legion people initially wiped on Star Augur ignoring the ads and just tunel-visioning the boss, then few people went for the ad and suddenly it was faceroll again. It’s basics.
Backed up by a Blizz statement, or an assumption on the part of players that you can show up to LFR with one hand glued to a can of beer and still get rewarded?
LFR is entirely conquerable, but most fights have one mechanic that players MUST do or die. It’s not a big ask that they learn that one mechanic. Pushing the player base to be better results in a happier pugging experience for all.
edit What I don’t like is the lack of penalty for quitting after one boss. I see tanks doing this a lot, and it leaves 23 players sitting around for half an hour before realising the queue is not going to supply new tanks and they disband.
All rewards should be held until the last boss.
I agree but the problem is really raid size. You just cannot coordinate with up to 25 randoms, and that’s what LFR (and most raids) is based on.
A raid of 8 people (two tanks, two healers and 4 DPS) would be much more manageable and allow people to properly coordinate and communicate with each other. It’d also make the battlefield a lot easier to track.
It would also let Blizzard add more interesting mechanics instead of just instant kills and raidwide AoEs all the time…
So yeah, I believe the crux here is raid size. A smaller raid is a far more competent one!
Well people who LFR they should know what to expect from players of LFR.
Last night I did LFR circle of stars - It just took 1 wipe to clear whole raid. It’s bcoz I didn’t give them some insight of fight. After wipe I just give them 30 sec instructions in raid warning. Pop up few raid warning during fight and we cleared raid.
Point it’s your choice - spend 1 min to explain or waste half an hour to kill one boss.
Yeah it’s kind of old school raid leading with raid warnings
Best fix for LFR would be the complete removal of it
I don’t bother go LFR at all except I have a quest to be done.
To me LFR is harder than Heroic.
Lots of casuals and Classic players makes it extremely hard.
I rarely did LFR recently. But anytime i’ve been in one, apart from that one jaina fight which took forever, people are storming through and easily ending everything quite fast.
Do people actually mess up LFR this much for real?
Member lfr kiljaeden? I member.
Blizzard should implement a system that basically when you enter the raid the “instructions” (guide) pop up instantly.
People just need to read the guide and it’s done.
I’m not a hardcore raider or anything but fights in LFR are extremly “tribal”.
Yes now try alliance lfr
Make lfr into a “story mode” solo scenarios with npc and baseline questing gear ilvl rewards and remove lfr altogether. We have the technology.
The guides for each mechanic are available in the default interface for everyone. You can enable as much externals as you want, but in the end it just comes down to reading what to do.
If you can’t bare this, perhaps it’s better to just not do LFR. From a gear perspective it seems so much more efficient to just run low mythic plus anyways and then go into normal or heroic afterwards.
no 15% BUFF per wipe is enough to fix ALL lfr issues.
5%>tank quits 1st wipe
10%>half raid quits 2nd wipe
15%> 3rd wipe you’re left alone on azshara or ghuun
but if 15% buff exist after 1 wipe is doable
there’s normal, heroic , mythic for that, lfr is to get transmog, do story quests, gear available via wqs, it should be on same difficulty as a elite wq
The buff will not teach people to do mechanics. They will continue doing their job in a wrong way again. Not every fight is a DPS check either, so I am not sure fixing it with raw buffs will be the way to go.
you clearly have not done azshara with 0% buff and then 25% buff. the difference is huge and you can ignore all mechanic. especialyl when half raid cant read, interrupt, stun, kill adds, tanks cant taunt etc
That’s one specific fight and just re-read your sentence for a second: “the difference is huge and you can ignore all mechanic.”
Is that really what we want in WoW, whatever difficulty we may play?
