Lightforged draenei priest?

Hey all, so I was thinking of making a lightforged draenei priest but i noticed their racial thraits is mostly about blacksmithing and blacksmithing for a priest is not really optimal right? What do you think?

The racials aren’t great for a priest (or any class really…) but they still look pretty cool and it’s a great ‘inquisitor’ vibe if specced Discipline.

I have Lightforged Priest waiting for leveling right now.

I think you should play whatever you like, no matter the passive. Unless you’re aiming for really challenging content it shouldn’t prevent you from being viable.

(Although i dunno if any racial is really great for priest… kT maybe ?)

The professions no longer gives you much benefit for your class, most of the BoP items you can craft from Blacksmithing are not worth because you most of the time already have something that pair with them in power. So you could even train BS on that Priest and it change not so much from training Tailoring

For the racial topic, Lightforged are not the best but i can assure your that Light’s Wrath (Lightforged active racial) is a pure win in AoE pulls

Their racial is great for M+, especially this season with reaping.

But that applies to all classes as lightforged.

Void elf racials are great for priest. No cast knockback and Spacial Rift has saved me many times in PvP.

This is a very relevant point. In BfA, it’s hard to justify some professions, and Blacksmithing is on the list of “why bother?”

Personally I’d say play the class+race combo that makes you happy. I have a worgen priest. Skinning and +1% crit? I don’t care, I wouldn’t want her in any other shape.

Min/maxing? If you’re in a really serious progression guild. Buuut you’re just starting this character now, so I’m pretty sure that’s not its purpose :slight_smile:

I started a lightforged priest aswell, did some low level dungeons and it was really fun with their racial but then they nerfed it and didn’t touch that character ever since.

I also have a lightforged priest!

Not geared mind, but there’s a lot of transmogs I like that suit a lightforged priest.

Remember that BS can also make weapons!

In reality it’s much easier to get gear than it is to craft it and I doubt it’s going to change any time soon.

It’s been like that for all professions: if they give raid quality gear then why raid and if they dont why bother.

Tol Dagor skips and buffs is the answer.

However, it has to share the pie with jewelcrafting because JC lockpicking from Legion also works just fine.

If you like the Lightforged Draenies just play it. The racial ain’t bad for healer priests since it adds a bit of extra dmg. In the case of shadowpriests It’s just 200~ dps behind the best choices.

Wondering why to join the LFD master race?

We have space ships, and are the true champions of the light.

And there’s only LFD and KT that will make a priest look bad a**. Rest are just scrawny, and mogs suck.
