Limit Dual Spec to outside raids

What makes you think that?
Players know that Mage can port them to city and get port from warlock back to raid.

Depending on boss, raid leaders will recommend this anyway so that people are prepared.

Yes, people are going to be forced to play 2 pve specs.
The game is SOLVED. Maybe in 2019 classic people wouldn’t care, but we’ve had pservers + classic + som + sod.
Even non-hardcore guilds will expect u to minmax, did you completely skip SOD or something?

Forced? Forced how? Do they stand behind you?
Do you think the whole community is this min-max focused? There will be many casual guilds where raids are chill.
If you have these maniacs leaders making you do stuff you dont want, leave. It is pathetic that (most) raids require world buffs, like the raids would be impossible without them.

These die hard no-lifers are NOT the majority of playerbase. Play how YOU want, and dont claim you are FORCED to do otherwise.

I don’t want to play in a guild that takes 2 hours to clear MC.
I want to play and minmax the game (vanilla) without wotlk mechanics which shouldn’t be in the game in the first place. Is that so difficult to comprehend?

No, but random raids are full of individuals with different dual spec expectations.
Imagine "4-LookingForGroup: “LFM (we don’t allow dual spec)”
Imagine "4-LookingForGroup: “LFM (must have dual spec)”

Well, it is not about what YOU want. It is about what the COMMUNITY wants.
Is that so difficult to comprehend?

Ok? I’m not against dual spec - I am against a vanilla server where player power is significantly increased (the content is already very easy) due to wotlk mechanics. Dual spec is perfectly fine as long as it’s outside of raids.

I’m sure other retail/sod players also want to add more QOL changes but you have to draw a line somewhere.

And no parser actually wants to add the inconvenience of swapping spec mid raid. It serves no purpose and is tedious.

Vanilla server = Era server = remain unchanged.
classic server = minor changes

I agree, but instant email, buff limits and dual spec is no reason for drama.

I didn’t say any of these are a reason for drama.
I said changing spec in raids is a reason for drama because it fundamentally changes the vanilla gameplay in raids and it makes the meta more like modern wow - it has no place in a vanilla server.

Nah man, exactly this is being over dramatic.

Not going to argue with you anymore because you’re clearly clueless and/or ignorant

Of course, as usual when people have other opinions. Grow up kid.

Tbh good suggestion

In my 20 years of playing, I’ve never once seen this magical unicorn of a GM who demands one spec for trash and one spec for bosses.

People are doom scrolling so bad over this overwhelmingly positive and popular change.

It’s almost like you nitpicked part of my argument and chose to ignore the bigger issue.

As a mage you’re going to be running fire pve and frost pve in mc + bwl depending on immunities. And yes it will be enforced. Nobody is going to take a sub optimal frost mage that does 50% less overall dps.

I agree completely, they should only allow us to change our spec at Inns/rested EXP zones and/or trainers

Great point especially for 4HM in naxx

No its not, you’re doom scrolling and making a mountain out if a molehill.

If you’re in a guild that dictates your spec, outside of asking for a particular debuff, then thats on you.

Your take is almost as bad as people who say “just join a guild that doesn’t raid with wbuffs”

we don’t know exactly how this is going to be implemented yet but i sincerely hope it’s not possible to just keep swapping specs between each boss/trash pull. Healers will never have the opportunity to use their dual spec for dps and will be forced to have two healing specs :frowning:
