Ever since launch the line of sight seems to not work properly.
Ranged npc’s and Mages/Lock/Hunters seem to be able to cast spells at targets behind walls.
This used to not be the case back in vanilla where you could LOS an npc to make them run to you.
Playing as a warrior this has caused alot of issues, especially in PVP.
I’m kinda dreading the release of Honor because so many ranged classes can and will abuse this …bug?
Is anything being done to fix this? Haven’t found any blue post or even that many topics about it on the forums.
Trees for example did not provide los in vanilla. I think it works as intended for the most part. But npcs fleeing through walls, trees and other objects is a bug for sure
I kinda feel like all of it, was also in vanilla.
Trees, rocks, some walls/tents don’t los.
Feared or running mobs were quite likely to glitch through walls.
Line of sight does work, but mostly only for actual walls and other really substantial terrain elements. Pillars, trees and bumps in the ground are highly inconsistent, but I think it’s one of those “we reproduced the exact inconsistency” deals.
It is very weird when mob running in fear, runs through wall in house outside and you must run through the door to catch him. It happened to me many times, plus today I was killing some syndicate mobs on farm in Arathi and one was shooting from bow through penthouse :/.
Well so far I noticed it’s usually properly scripted inside dungeons. But out in the world the LOS becomes really random…
