For not only listening to the playerbase, but also reacting to our feedback so swiftly and kindly. For keeping us updated as soon as possible. For being so professional, basically.
Thank you for everything that’s been developed so far, of course for all of the new Void Elf options, but especially for the Nightborne and LF Draenei folks, who very much needed those customizations. I’m positive we’ll see more surprises in the PTR!
Sorry but all they are listening to is voidelf players and give them all they want somehow in an instant and ignoring the rest. Not a good look in my opinion despite the fact it’s an allied race.
It’s an Allied Race pass. Core races have already had their turn at the beginning of the expansion. Whether you liked what core races received or not is entirely different.
If High Elf and Half Elf players have waited 15+ years, I’m sure you can wait a few months.
She probably does due to her simply working in Blizzard’s community management (I think?) and that’s reason enough right there.
Anyhow, I have a strong sense that the Blizzard WoW team has now got a boss who kicked their prideful teeth in and told them what’s what. It’s the only way I can possibly explain why Mike Ybarra comes in, having complained about the AoE cap and Covenant swapping and much more on Twitter in the past, and not a week later a huge flood of announcements come out. Meanwhile the 9.1.5 PTR comes out with almost none of these changes in because they are still being implemented (aka they were not planned)
Bad choice, now blood elves are not a horde unique faction
although I am in favor of removing all the silly locks and gates on this game, the covenant swapping is the best thing they’ve done. still might be too late for this expansion, feels like people have moved on to FF or other games,. what truly matters is how they release new expansions going forward.
It’s a bit sad that Blizzard needed to suffer from a lawsuit and a huge drop in subs, but in the end they’ve changed back to what they were before… at least, apparently. Guess time will tell. But for now, I’m so happy and excited about all these new changes. I’m feelinge excited for SL now than when it was announced.
Indeed. I’m positive they’ve learned from all of this, and I’m sure they’ll not only keep in mind our feedback, but they’ll actually implement stuff we ask for going forward.
You mean core races got updates without players having the choice what to get. Right now voidelves get all people cry for in an instant. That’s a huge difference getting what you want and just getting what you get.
That’s a bit of wishful thinking with their track record.
However, I’ll admit, 9.1.5’s changes are good news.
It could be the beginning of a real change in Blizzard, but I’ll remain skeptical until we see large patch releases
Personally, I’ve always wanted an option to choose your Undead race. Why can’t we be Undead Elves or Undead Orcs? I think that’d be such an interesting option for the Forsaken.
Nobody here can say if this “new (old) Blizzard” behaviour is a one off anomaly or a new direction overall.
One would hope it’s a new direction, perhaps instigated or in the very least allowed by the new management. I don’t want to rip on individual guys, but the game got steadily worse as the previous guy moved up the power totem pole.
So I’m quietly optimistic, and will eagerly await news of future directions.
You do know they are not done with the customizations right? they are taking a few races at a time. Now that they are done with the void elves, they will focus on the Nightborne and LFD more, later moving to other allied races, and maybe in the future re-visiting core races as well. Have patients.
and instead of whining on other peoples threads, make a forum post asking for what you want to see added for Blood elves.
The only reason void elves got exactly what they wanted with customization is because they ASKED politley in their own threads.
meanwhile Blood elf players are not doing that. some of them just whine on other threads and then wonder why no customization is added. Its not rocket science.
And we also got trolled, mass flagged, verbally abused… It’s been a long journey. But we’ve finally got what we wanted.
I’m still looking forward to more voidy options (full-tendril hair Medusa style, different tendril colors and size, voidy glow for hands, Void tattoos and scars…). But I can definitely wait for those, I wouldn’t want other races/players to feel discriminated.
