Awesome.
Finally found the time to log on this weekend and play with my friends on Lone Wolf.
BUT GUESS WHAT.
Cmon guys, after 20 years this shouldn’t have happened. Of course it was gonna be popular, and you gave us 2 PVP realms…
What now? My friends are on Lone Wolf and I ain’t gonna lone wolf on another server.

Lone wolf was open whole day today + they will probably reopen it tommorow
imagine how clueless they are that they locked server which had 0 queues along the day, like wtf

I had a good picture going into this. Something different, something new, something which made my friends return to the game and we could all socialize with a new game.
But then i woke up again.
It’s better to save your nerves and just accept the fact we’ll be one week late - when the queues calm down and they reopen the realms.
We had this in Vanilla.
We had this in Wotlk fresh.
We had this in SoM.
We had this in HC.
We have this now.
Locking the realms just pisses people off for a week because they won’t get to play with their buddies on launch. Queues are guaranteed in the first week, just as they are guaranteed to go away in the second.
The solution is simple. People who hate queues will go to other realms and people who don’t mind will just sit in queue. There it is. Done.

well at least we know that theres someone there locking/unlocking the servers or maybe an automatic system, and since last night some people could create characters the only way its to camp the server selection scree while you play other games or watch a movie etc
Not really tho… No issues in SoM and HC. No issue on WOTLK cause we already had a character created for most people. And for vanilla well it was the first time, so yeah of course it wouldn’t go right. But now ? It’s 4 years after classic ! We can expect to play with our friends lol
been playing wow since 2005 and don’t think i’ve ever posted on a forum- logged Thursday night, que was massive, have work early the next day, log out and think “ill have time on Saturday night”. all the guilds rolled living flame, come to log and play with my mates, LOCKED. i cant ask them all to reroll, a whole guild of 50+ players, weve been playing together for years and some of us cant. what is this?!
i want to play horde which doesn’t say faction imbalance like ally… still cant make a toon.

So that’s pretty nifty, we’ve manage to get every single person wanting to play Season of Discovery in game today, no queues anywhere in US. I’ve still got some noodling to do to see if we can get more folks in in EU but overall, not bad for some mahahoosive mega realms!
And if you’re the wrong side of the character locked realms, we genuinely feel for you, but its a rock and a hard place. Those realms are stuffed and allowing more people to call them home is just going to bite us harder down the road, we’ve a long season to go!

Wotlk Fresh was insane, they locked both realms, created new, then the locked ones died because they were locked for too long. I was on Thekal and was really mad about it then.

Bro there isn’t even that much people on the server. There’s not even a queue right now, can log right in and my brother still can’t create a horde character, which isn’t even supposed to be locked ! I just played on the server a bit right now, it’s not as overpopulated as they make it sound to be

It will bite them even harder when every realm except Lone Wolf and Living Flame is dead in phase 3. It’s not rocket science, this WILL happen.
The new layering tech is absolutely amazing, I really don’t understand locking the realms. The biggest queue there was after launch was 2k Living Flame, not a single other realm had a queue.
This is just frustrating, but I’m letting this whole thing go. I’m not about to be mad 2 days in a row for a video game. See you in a week lads.

I agree with you and i see it coming as well.
The biggest issue is lack of information.
To a point i can accept ques and issues on release (to a point).
But once they lock the server its the same as achknowledging that we have an issue, in one way or another.
Like myself, was up when it released, ended up in a 3 hours que, i had work the day after and the first thing i did when i came home was logging into the game - and i couldn’t.
My entire friend list is on FL, without exception, meanwhile two of us are lock out of the game.
When they raised money for Ukraine with the pet thingy they used the word ‘‘Community’’ pretty frequently.
I’d very much like to be a part of this so called community while playing with my friends as well. So their new server which they suggest i can play on they can put right back up.
Right now there is just nothing, no information. Am i just one week behind? one month begind? Will be friends be allow to transfer at any point? Am i ever able to play with my friends?
If you read this Blizzard, go fix.

is the entire idea, to get us to roll on chaos then pay for transfer? ive rolled there because i want to play not just sit in a queue for 2 hours i get to play on a sat night but is that genuinely their idea?
