Op initially doesnt even know the name of his condition and we clearly see it by the way he named the thread, and if you read through the start of it- he still doesnt know it.
Funnily enough later on he comes up with the same symptoms, now completely different from his initial claims but this time they follow the google definition of “tryptophobia” by the exacty order.

So since my suspicion grew let me tell you my last take:
Op doesnt have tryptophobia becuase the things on the ground are not tryptophobic inducing. Tryptophobia by definition requires patterns of holes, hives and etc.
Op is just disgusted by the look of a slimy disgusting object in the game, which was entirely made to provoke such a response.
I also feel the same way towards it. It gives me the “ick” as OP puts it.
I didn’t say the ick a single time, I said “disgusting looking objects in siren isle” in the title and “something is so off-putting about these models”

False. Coeliac Disease is not an allergy it is an autoimmune disease. When your system comes in contact with gluten it triggers your immune system to essentially attack itself, and you end up getting necrosis in your intestines which naturally lead to all the symptoms that Cylaris mentioned.
Now if you are on a gluten free diet and you eat a very small amount of gluten you can react absolutely horrendously with vomiting and diarrohea and be sick for days, or you can just have a bit of a stomachache. I get 24 hour flu and then a very sore stomach.
If you don’t treat coeliac disease, then you can become so ill that you are at risk of death but only because you are unable to actually extract any nutrients from food you eat and your intenstines are rotting away.
As for the “people didn’t always have it” yes they did, it just wasn’t diagnosed. The only way to 100% diagnose it is by doing a endoscope and looking at your intestines. People have been fobbed off for years. There’s even an especially sensitive load of us who can’t eat gluten free oats because the protein in oats is too similar in gluten and gives us the same reaction so yes, the symptoms do vary but ultimately you shouldn’t touch the stuff if you have coeliac disease.

There are plenty of people who are only sensitive and still eat it anyway then whine about being bloated etc as you say, they are annoying to everyone I’m pretty sure!
The phobia thing though, I think OP was just warning others. Like there’s this pattern of holes in Mount Hyjal that makes me want to crawl inside and die and I avoid it like the plague but it’s in a game so it isn’t as bad.
I see spiders in a game and I nope outta there and feel icky but I see one irl? Freeze… back away slowly… look around everywhere paranoid they are gonna “get me”.
Phobias/fears are funny things.

- I dont believe your story for various reasons:
-you resort to petty tactics and dishonestly
-i suspect you in lying since theres a disconnect between the picture shown and what tryptophobia is, you making up symptoms while initially not mentioning anything besides “felling of disgust”. Symptoms somehow ended up being in the same order as google definition including the little details.
-You use false-accusations to get your point across.
-You edited, removing the “ick” part. Even a couple of people mention that its problematic that you describe it like that.
-You attempt to compair a feeling of “disgust”/“ICK” and mild phobia with major life-altering conditions like Depression. - Even if you had a phobia. My stance didnt change.
The game shouldnt change just because you decided to put yourself into it.
Why?
Because half of the game should be cutt out, simply because of phobias, lets go into detail:
-Nazjatar, Vash’jir should be entirely cutt out for they contain : Ophidiophobia, Hydrophobia
Classic WoW: Trypophobia, Insectophobia, Arachnophobia
TWW: Tryptophobia, Insectophobia, Arachnophobia
All expansions contain: Claustrophobia inducing content too, Fear of hights.
Along with all sorts of phobias like: Astraphobia, Dendrophobia Hemophobia, Social Anxiety and so on.
As I said earlier coming in a game heavily inspired by HP Lovecraft to the point where the name is a direct link to the author. An author notarious with his works which contain primary themes of "fear of the unknown, irrational fear, phobias, thight spaces, slimy tentacles, eggs, monsters of fleshy putty, many eyes, twitching appendrages, insects and so on.
Coming to such game by yourself acting like you’re being victimized by it, calling people racists and sexists because they find your actions absurd
Is truly beyond anything rational.
But you’re a grown adult and this is your responsibility first, rather than anybody elses.

I just want to clarify that the official definition of trypophobia does actually include bumps:

- extreme or irrational aversion to or fear of clusters of small holes or bumps.

I mean yeah it’s safe to assume that someone who thinks trypophobia is made up nonsense and telling people who have it to grow up also post “DEI” under videogame trailers

Clarification: I dont think tryptophobia doesnt exist.
I think you exhadurate the impact of mild phobias by comparing them to real major, wide-spread conditions like Depression.
I think that if you dont want to get triggered by something- you shouldnt go to the primary place it is intended to occur by design. → Its a Lovecraftian inspired game.
I think you in particular dont have tryptophobia.

You didnt beta test every patch/expansion that contains the silithid/insectoid/Nerubians/old gods and etc.
I called them growths in my post, but yeah that’s the definition. Anyway, too much drama over nothing.
Honestly I don’t get it. Like I said, I have thalasophobia myself but I can’t get enough of those games where you play underwater like Subnautica or Atlas. But then again, that’s a more complicated phobia that gets triggered under certain circumstances, trypophobia gets triggered much easier I suppose.

I do find that stuff disgusting, ugly, terrible to look at, making me itchy, hands twitching, scratching my head.
Especially when Dragon riding in Azj Kahet far up in the zone near what looks like wasp nests
