they have these weird furry things like final fantasy furry people invaded or something
they legit don’t have genders in character creation anymore… Go woke… yeah.
Anyway just subbed a month to see what retail and classic was like now, guess I made the right decision to quit years ago, enjoy paying for old content
Edit: thought I’d post because I don’t imagine anyone ever goes on retail who plays classic
Edit2: or anyone at all really by the looks of it
Edit3: anyone else who quit at the end of classic you made the right decision by the looks of it, don’t waste the €9.99 to check
they do, they just renamed “gender” to “body type”. I guess something to do with the drama where women at Blizzard were harassed… now body types A are harassed, which sounds much better than women.
You know, we aren’t people, we are just bodies to be eaten by reptilians from Dragonflight.
Sadly it isn’t untrue… i dont like it either but retail is deserted. While some people still stick to it, the majority of the playerbase (and most of the streamers) are in classic. Wether Era or Wotlk, retail can’t keep up with it by any means at all.
@OP thanks for sharing ur valuable insights
and that was just a stupid change - retail has new UI so they could do that, but classic is based on historical patch and nostalgia so they should avoid any unnecessary changes. When creating characters, we’ve been clicking the buttons like “Dwarf → Male → Paladin → Leeroy” for decades, on original WOW, private servers, and even retail before the new UI, and it has become a part of the nostalgia, and now they changed it to “Dwarf → Paladin → confused”
Not to mention that the venus and mars buttons were clear, while the new ones are counter accessible and undistinguishable in high sunlight conditions. And if they had to make that change, then they could have at least kept the order of buttons, so it’s still “Dwarf → Male → Paladin”, and not “Dwarf → Paladin → No boobs”.
Well Blizzard decided this change was “necessary”. Whenever you like it or not (both are respectable opinions) most annyoing is 30 iq position “nothing changed, it shouldnt bother you, i dont care”.
Retail always feels deserted. Because itz World of Instance craft lol. However no. The game feels less dead then SL was fully
And ofcourse they are, with the reduced content pwr patch, players will run out of content fast.
Last 2 months of a patch should always be dead. Lol, just as season 2 will drop and they will be streaming retail again. And then rhey will do the patch prog abit and when content slows down, return to classic.
Patchs shouldnt be continous live day start to finish, thats what drove the playerbase into burnout and completely unsubbing after season 1.
However, it is proven that m+ runs during SL were less, because although it started rampently high it dropped over 60% of its playerbase in a month and m+ runs fell off a cliff in regards.
Valuable insight looking at a playerbases pop in the last 2 weeks of a season isnt valuable lol theres litterally 0 point to playing currentlym
Majority of the playerbase is not in classic every statistic disagrees with you there i play classic i find it unlikely youd consider me to be a classic player however.
It is a change they actually made. It’s important to understand that someone put some work into it, so “I don’t mind” is not enough. A change should be liked by more than disliked. If there is a change that some people don’t mind while some dislike, then it’s a change for worse and nobody should have made that change to begin with.
Also, the fact that such cosmetic change was released proves that the devs have nothing more important to work on, so all the issues such as bots and single-faction “PvP” realms are INTENTIONALLY kept in the game.
True. But it was made when blizzard was in those scandals, so it is just a pathetic attempt to say that they actualy respect people and it is not cheap social buying out with minor ingame change deleting Mars and Venus icons
except that they respect bodies, not people. From what I remember, those scandals were about employees being mistreated, not about the character creation screen. Not to mention that the victims don’t even know about the change because they surely boycott Blizzard so they don’t play WOW unless on private servers.
Also what can they show with such change? That they didn’t know the mistreatment was targeting women?
Most of games these days have such body type options, but it comes in connection with some transgender options. WOW doesn’t have such options, it just has a gender option that dictates everything, from clothes to voice, so it simply is gender and calling it “body type” is basically a language error.
Because pretending to support social justice and equality by 100mb patch in game is much easier than to do it irl. Especially when you don’t care about and use those words for a public reputation.
I was being sarcastic on OPs „valuable insight“ he was crying without making any point… if u didn’t even get that, i doubt you will get any „statistics“
All the official numbers show VASTLY more players on classic (era + Wotlk) than Retail, so i have no idea where u get your information from
A bit incorrect example. Donating blood is real thing that saves lives so it has real impact. Blizzard is like if murderer started to draw lgbt+ emoji for social networks
