Go back to Classic.
i don`t play classic
Blasphemy!
boring as expected. heck even doing quests in Westfall is more exciting than this snoozefest where you run around like a demigod and pull half the world zZZzz
hope raid is atleast enjoyable but even more (daily) grind and everything wont make me do the raid more than 1-2times on heroic because the fun thing about raiding is parsing and mythic which wont be a thing if you dont do all this garbage.
so hard pass
I didn’t mind doing it in uldum but did it really have to be the exact same thing in vale? The quests were if not for the skin of the mob being different, literally the exact same in uldum and vale. The way they presented the heroic visions was also terrible, go in 4 times and rush thrall.
The visions look interesting but the presentation gets a D-
Admittedly the intro quests took forever for me to finish, as some quests were buggy or took forever to complete (Like the 6 obelisks or kill 4 rares). And I was getting tired of going back to Halls of Origination.
But so far I’m enjoying this patch. It’s been pretty nice to see the Vale back to its former glory pre-sha corruption, but I really like how the Vale looks with all the tentacles and old gods minions around. And even though Uldum is one of my least favorite zones, I still prefer this change of scenery over Nazjatar and Mechagon.
P.s Magni is a jerk for teleporting away without taking me with him.
I disagree, leveling my mechagnome has been the most fun I had in wow for a long time.
I don’t mind new quests. Actually I think there is way too little to do. Everything around this patch is about getting currency to buy vessels to do visions to get a cloak upgrade. Visions are too difficult for me and I don’t really want to play with other people. I already burned my vessels, so there is nothing for me to do anymore. At least with Nazjatar, I had more dailies, quests, materials to farm, pets to battle.
8.3 make me want to cry and not in a good way. It’s been 1 day and I’m already permanently behind everyone else. Kind of depressing.
I Don’t think that’s that big of a deal, the passive gains will make visions easier over time anyways. Being succesful in all your attempts isn’t necessary.
What type of passive gains do you have in mind?
I already hate the patch. I hate the quests. I hate the dailies. I hate having to fly around for 1 ½ hour looking for rares or obelisks. But what I hate the most, is the fact that there’s combat bug inside the visions. Literally lost 1/3 of a weeks progression due to combat bug. I hate that PvP wasn’t adressed. I hate that warlocks are still stupid overpowered. I hate having to do all this useless crap on every alt i want to play all over again.
Guess i’ll see y’all in Shadowlands.
Well just mythics+ will keep on raising your ilvl, beside isn’t there a system like AP for the cloak of it becomes less of a chore overtime to catch up ?
People will just burn out and quit (again). I’m so done with their “you think you do but you don’t” bullsh*t. I certainly know that I don’t want to grind the same dailies for the next months over and over again.
I don’t really do m+. Competitive content where people depend on me is too stressful. My problem with 8.3 is that even single player content is now stressful and there is nothing new for me to do. I can’t even imagine how much upset it would be for me to farm whole week to get a vessel just to fail again.
-New factions
-New quests
-New raid
-New allied races
-New achievements
etc.
This is how it’s allways have been, yes, even in tbc and wotlk, lol. New patches brought new collectibles, quests and raids. What is wrong with this patch? Nothing.
I also felt the dailies are a bit too much.
Myself I feel like I am already burned out from doing too many dailies. I have always subscribed in the game. Starting a new patch with more dailies was not good idea IMO.
If they still want to put those things, maybe they can find a way to make it zerg fist / extra quick for those who are not one of those returning players?
More information about the War aftermath. What are the Night Elves doing? What is happening at Darkshore? More information about the Forsaken + Calia. What does Tyrande actually want? And i don’t mean a single NPC conversation taking place at the side - i mean actually VISITTING those places and seeing a change.
A dungeon
A zone that actually phases and changes to show your campaign progess over the weeks. Tied in with HEAVY story telling and noteworthy NPCs. WoW has done that many times, Suramar was obviously the best version, but by no means the first.
Bonus: An allied race for the Alliance that i actually care about
If 8.3 covered those 3 1/2 bullets i would be happy. But sadly, it covers exactly none of them.
I went back to 8.3 to give it a chance. Admittedly I enjoyed playing my frost DK as I’ve always liked the spec even though it’s poor in PvP. I began the quests with warmode on and soon got attacked by a rogue. Being frost and undergeared I fully expected to lose the fight, but the degree to which u lost the fight was ridiculous. There might as well have been a 60 level difference. I barely got past the passive shield you get from azerite armour.
So already not a great start but I wasn’t expecting PvP to suddenly be good so I let that slide and continued the quest. Frankly the magni questline got boring really quick.
Next I tried an invasion and truth be told I did enjoy it. But I imagine I will get bored of them too quickly as I believe there’s only uldum and Vale of eternal blossoms?
I will continue till I get to try some vision but I reckon I’ll stop playing retail pretty quickly as it feels like it’s gonna be very repetative.
Did you only find out what was in it today at release?
You do know it’s all been known for weeks, months?
