please make the pre-patch at least 4 weeks, especially if you’re not allowing belf and Draenei boosts.
rushing through 1-70 in two weeks, playing catch-up all the time only so you can play your class is cancer. We’re old now, we don’t have the time for this. Besides, a month of naxx with tbc talents? Pretty neat I’d say.
There’s no amount of prepping that can make up for the stress of having to level this quickly while everyone else is coasting through the content. It really kills the the experience.
I already had a post like this months ago, but just wanted to have this issue visible again as the date inches closer.

I would also love a longer prepatch. It’s quite a unique and fun time to enjoy. I wouldn’t mind if it was even as long as six to eight weeks to be honest.
Also I second your argument about belf and draenei having to blitzkrieg in order not to fall behind when the dark portal opens.
I would also add that having a prepatch-date and release-date annouced would be apreciated so people can plan accordingly. Even if it’s just a rough guess-timate. Even what month it could be would be apreciated. The complete radio-silence from Blizzard is staggering.

Even though I feel quite PREPARED ( Please, review my TBC preparation checklist ), I’d love to have a 4 week pre-patch.
Or Blood Elf boost which is a working alternative. Still prefer the first option.

I see no reason why blizz shouldn’t release pre-patch now. It just makes the game overall more fun.
And if you’re a vanilla purist, at this point anniversary is the exact same as ERA anyway.

I also want them to release pre patch fast and double the time we are in it.
First not all are skilled or got the time to lvl upp and get pre raid gear.
Seconly if people got time they will have time to farm stuff for crafting and few will bye gold to fast track there needs before TBC.
Fore my personal reason i want it so i may find a resaon to playe again.

You forgot the third reason to extend the pre-patch period:
- Will give Blizzard more time to fix broken patches (they will need it!)

I am sorry to say bro
but more time to fix does not necessarilly mean more fixes. And in Blizzard case, it most certainly won’t as this is the problem with will to do it rather than time to do it.

I would loveeeeeee much longer than 4 weeks. I am a very slow leveler and new to TBC so 4 weeks+ would be amazing. Now if only Blizzard communicated a bit more…

Somehow amazing, all these FOMO cries, tbh.
When I now, today, read about pre-bis raidgear I really shake my head. Exactly these ppl will be bored of raidlogging Kara long before many ppl have done all HC instances including rep
.
But hey, go rush all content but do tf not complain that “there’s nothing to do anymore”.

Last Classic I’d agree with you. It was players rushing everything. However, this time around it’s Blizzard who is rushing everything and we simply have to adapt or get left behind.

Really? Like now, today, you mean?
How is asking for more time to do something rushing things?
also, I’m fairly casual and haven’t raided intensely since original tbc. I don’t know how you read this into what I said but sure, keep fighting the good fight.

But the “rush” was announced before start.

It is bc people are “preparing” for joining their first raid asap. That’s why they want more time so they can start over rushing endgame in TBC without really “playing” TBC.

I don’t want to be selfish, seeing people still raiding and trying to clear Naxx. But I’d take pre-patch tomorrow please and thank you.

Hence the heavy preparation. This time it’s officially announced, indirectly forcing us to speed up the tempo.
And this is exactly why we ask for longer pre-patch. We don’t like this speed, we don’t like playing intensely during two weeks only to not be behind. We want to level our Belf paladins and Draenei shamans at a normal pace, not some turbo mode.
Hope you understand now our motives.
On the contrary, I want a longer prepatch because of the opposite reason. I want to have more time to level a bloodelf and enjoy the scenery in the new starting zones. I have no intention of rushing through all content.

I would also want the prepatch out early. 8 weeks are great. 2 weeks is not enough for us leveling draenei shamans and bloodelf paladins. Since we are stuck in this phase anyway. Why not try something new? Must be fun raiding with 70 talents for a few more weeks too for those who are into that. Now it’s just a TBC waiting room for alot of players.

I do. It’s all about FOMO.

That’s a reason I understand better. But I think it’s a minority thinking like that.

That’s quite possible, I feel like a dying breed in wow these days.
