I’ve played WoW off and on for a long time, but it’s a bit lonely with no guild! I’m looking for a relaxed social guild on alliance side with perhaps older members as I’m approaching 40 myself, I’m primarily a solo player because I don’t really have the time to dedicate to raiding or mythic dungeons but I’m interested in delves and I’m definitely interested in learning how to roleplay. I’ve played on RP servers for years but never had the confidence to try it out, I’d love to join a guild where I can watch and learn the ropes with no pressure.
I’ve tried the in-game guild finder without much luck, if anybody could point me towards a guild that they think fits the bill for me I’d really appreciate it! I wanna chat with people while I hunt for transmog and mounts
You might find a nice home with us at Moon Haven. My Co-GM and I are both around the same age as you are and we wanted to start a guild to cater for people who still want to enjoy WoW PvE and RP but without sacrificing our personal lives and relationships in the process.
Welcome to roleplay! I’m a bit of a solo player myself, and largely only play Warcraft vey casually outside of roleplay. I just get so anxious with too many strangers in dungeons and raids haha. Have you done any of the delves yet? I’ve really enjoyed I can do them myself, as well as ask if any of my friends want to swing by to join me.
The Meridian Edict is a faction neutral guild, with social roleplay nearly daily! We’re friendly to roleplayers of all levels of experience, and would be more than happy to guide you through roleplay, as well as you just be able to watch while you build confidence and learn. The in-game guild finder is utterly useless, so I don’t doubt you had trouble! I recommend using Argent Archives, it’s a dedicated website to roleplay on Argent Dawn, and you’ll have an easier time finding guilds that suit what you’re seeking!
As mentioned, we have almost daily roleplay, typically in relaxed social settings, however we do have a plethora of sub-plots that you can get involved in on your own terms and time. Ontop of that, if you are ever interested, there is campaign nights on Saturdays with personally DM’d storylines, where your characters choices and actions directly affect the future of the story. Comparable to Dungeons and Dragons if you have ever played or understand the system! Outside of that, we have shop nights on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays where we host the Solstice Bazaar, there we trade TRP3 Extended items that our members ICly created.
If you like, we have made some guides for new roleplayers made by one of my fellow officer’s Ksar, and can share these with you to help you get to understanding how to start roleplaying! I’m also more than happy to chatter if you ever wanted to add me on discord - regardless of if you joined the guild or not!
Age-wise, we have a very diverse community from a wide span of ages, and would be more than happy to welcome you.
Ksar here and I am always happy to help new roleplayers or to “brainstorm” how to do a concept or set up a storyline better! I won’t say that I know all WoW lore perfectly there is google for that, but with enough research and determination everything is possible!
Ah Meridian Edict sounds great, exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! I’ve obviously been out of the game a while because I had no idea that it was possible for horde and alliance to join the same guild, I’m primarily an alliance player so if it isn’t too awkward to talk/do things cross faction then I’m definitely interested - I’m dogdays or dogdays#2857 on Discord if I could chat with one of you at some point!
Ahh awesome!! Your interest means a lot to us! It definitely isn’t awkward or a hassle at all, my main character I play as is a Void Elf, and we have plenty of other alliance toons! I’ll send you a friend req now, I’m LuckyGriffin on there, so you know who poked you!
