Hi Amark! I hope you’re having a fantastic day yourself! I started playing WoW back in Legion, and Argent Dawn was pretty much my first server I got invested into - with getting involved with Roleplay coming soon after! I dipped in and out of roleplay several times, before getting properly into it last year. I completely understand that fear and apprehension, and like you I have a habit of poofing when a situation gets a touch stressful. It’s important to me you know that our guild prioritises accesibility, and we understand completely sometimes we have to deal with terrible anxiety.
I’m happy you’re having fun with your mechagnome! That’s such a funny concept and I adore the idea of being a silly little technician. It’s a really good way of you bringing more life to Stormwind and I’m sure you’ve made those people days! I have got to start waltzing around Stormwind more to bump into you!!
With attendance, there is never any pressure whatsoever to make it to roleplay - and no good guild ever should! This is for fun, not a second-job, and so real life always comes first - or hell, even if you simply just don’t feel like roleplaying. Your absences are at your discretion entirely. Ontop of that, there’s roleplay happening pretty much daily! So if there was a day you had free and felt like roleplaying, or wanted to rp at an unusual hour, the likelihood is atleast one of us would be up for it if not already rping.
A good majority of our guild are non-native English speakers themselves, with our Guild Leader and our other officer being ESL. Your skill in English is a non-issue to us, and if we ever engaged in rp with people using heavy accents in RP I’d be more than happy to help you along with understanding what they say, though as of right now nobody in the Edict rp’s with a heavy accent. I myself have pretty rough dyslexia, so sometimes I accidentally use a WILDLY creative spelling of a word - and sometimes need to ask people if they can reword things to help me understand what they mean.
The Edict itself is a Vulpera caravan-inspired guild that’s open to both factions and all races, with our main themeing being round the found-family of our guild. We have our main campaign nights on Saturdays, which you of course can come in and out of as you please, where there is an ongoing tailored storyline where our members decisions and actions directly affect the course of the story. Outside of that we also have social roleplay happening nearly daily, where there is a variety of subplots happening that you can engage with at your own pace - a wonderful alternative if you can’t make any of the main campaign. These subplots are similarly tailored to players, with regular roleplay being able to be randomly turned into a DM’d event!
Outside of those, we have shop nights on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays with the Solstice Bazaar. There we sell custom TRP3 Extended items that our members ICly created. It’sa wonderful way of engaging with the community, and I could teach you how TRP3 Extended works whether you join or not, I think it’d be super funny seeing your mecha-gnome use it to possibly give out things like spare batteries to other players!
