Me and my friend got into WOW this month, we both achieved our first level 70 characters and decided it might be time to consider joining a guild. As mentioned, we’re entirely new to the game so guilds focused on end game content or mythic runs probably wouldn’t suit us. Our interest would lie in a more casual and friendly environment less about min maxing gear and more about enjoying playing the game.
Does this kind of guild still exist within WOW or is it past the point of socially gaming, teaming up with others and just playing because it’s fun, without trying to min max gear level?
As I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, we lack the skillset entirely to compete in anything endgame and or high level stuff, is there a guild out there for us? Our interests would align to playing in a group for fun and just experiencing WOW as new players,
Any tips or suggestions for elsewhere looking into a guild? Happy to chat!
Might be what you’re after? The post strongly indicates a casual focus outside of their raid focus.
That said pretty much any roleplay guild (as AD is a roleplay server primaly, so that’s the bulk of the guilds around… at least in theory) often have small groups who play together casually.
Here’s a few guilds including the one Mitcha shared, perhaps one of them might suit you?
And like mentioned, Argent Dawn is an active roleplay server, if you’re interested in the storytelling side of things, there’s info on that aspect in the pinned threads. Plus visiting argentarchives.org can give a quick overview of how we roleplayers approach that hobby in WoW.
Though I don’t know any such guilds myself cause it’s not quite my space, such guilds exist - asking around in a faction hub might help.
Though it’s true that AD is an RP server as posts above point out, it doesn’t house just RPers and has a community of those who never engage with it. So if RP is not for you, there are still guilds around that you could look into.
