"Looking for group" button in classic

lemme make an add on where i just set up few features like instance, time between messages etc… then the add on will post at the desired time the desired text.
then people will just whisper ! role like !healer.
if they fill the prerequisite that i have listed such as class and level (cna be checked by shift clickin) then they get invited. the annoucement gets updated automatically. even guilds i can fitler. until i fill the group.

players are already doing that in a way with all the other add ons. they just havent pushed it that far. a lfg tool that lists all current group for current instances where you would either apply or ask the group leader (notice i never detailed what should ENHANCE the current lfg channel and/or tool) is not going to hurt the game in any way bacause I, as a player, can already do it.

That addon existed for the first 3 weeks of Classic or so, it was called Classic LFG. There was a massive uproar about it on this forum and on reddit, and Blizzard quickly disabled it by adjusting the api so that addons can’t parse messages in custom channels, and send too many of them either (or something like that, I’m a programming illiterate).
Basically it was made first thing in Classic, and the vocal minority (or maybe even majority, the uproar was truly massive) got it banned.

In vanilla, closer to the end of it, Blizzard brought in a click function to the stones outside of dungeons. Anyone within its level range could click on it, and then it would automatically match people together via a queue.

no it wasent. It was added in wotlk. Later they added the tool it self.

Im not talking about clicking on the stone to autofit the group, but with manually looking for group through the lfg tool

I think this will make it easier to recruit people for dungeons and raids. No spam in the chat, where try to see and spy out what you need.

… No, it was in vanilla. The summoning portal was added in 2.0.1. (Had to look through the history due to the off chance my memory might be off, and apparently meeting stone queues were already a thing from the middle of vanilla instead of just near the end of it. Been around longer than I remember it, apparently. However, that doesn’t really change what I said above.

Also, just a PS to the OP:
People tried to bring it in as an addon at the start of Classic, but Blizzard shut it down while saying it doesn’t fit Classic.

If you want convenience, you can go back to refail. There’s meaning behind your inconvenience in Classic, even if you’re not conscious of what it does to you.
