Less people leveling as before, less getting boosted, world and lfg channel got mainly raid pugs or boost sellers and not long ago u could get a group for everything.
I wonder why, did people realised that clone service is long gone I wonder
Lets be honest, its hard for average guy who dont boost others to make any gold in the game. Starting from scratch is not viable for anyone.
Yes to some degree D4 takes blame as people jump from game to game to kill time but given that we have summer and lots of ppl wants some rest I dont think that surge will return any time soon. Sadly.
I dont think thats the case… I hardly have ever found a wow fun being a diablo fun or vice versa, not that there isnt a minority… its like 2 games with 2 different philosophies. Just ppl playing the game now its not the ppl been playing it back at 2019, and the few from 2019 that have stayed are too few, and current ppl dont want old timers to get back to the game, or perhaps they fond the idea of blizzard shut down clone service, and hope they it wont be available every again… i cant blame them, once old guilds and old timers get back all existing guilds will disband, there gonna be no more boosting, because old timers will help new guyz mostly for free and for fun, and there gonna be no more gdkp because big progression guilds will get back with consumables and buffs mandatory for progression and commitment gonna be rewarded, so no gdkp no goldselling no boosting, retail guys gonna be isolated again, uk classic community ppl can tell who is classic guy and who retail guy just from the attitude, and thats what strengthened and bonded our community mindshare…
On a server with mature economy, making gold when starting from scratch is trivial.
Free action potions, light feathers, swiftthistle, iron grenades… all things that are in constant demand by the rich level 60’s, but easy to get/manufacture for the low level players.
This, bought 3 lvl 40 mounts just by selling lowbie ores, farming light feathers, deviate fish, fadeleaf (this one is especially lucrative, at 10g a stack) and later iron grenades (even just flipping the raw mats will net you a profit most of the time).
I do however agree with OP that there has been a significant dip in player activity when it comes to forming lower level groups, but I think this was to be expected, casual players come and go and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get another surge towards the end of the year.
@ Original poster. Not on my realm Mirage Raceway - PvE EU. Plenty of people levelling & LF people to do levelling dungeons in LFG channel & btw shouldn’t people offering boosts in LFG channel be reported anyway, per terms of sevice?
Starting from scratch is viable as it’s what I have done. Not viable for you maybe, but stating not viable for anyone is just wrong to say. You don’t speak for everyone, only yourself.
Join a guild, I’ve had help with bags & occasionally a couple of gold to get me started with training costs as I go (I say occasionally as I am levelling all classes, but have been given this without asking/begging on maybe 2 of my characters).
Only seen the occasional boost offer in LFG & has been reported immediately. If it’s in trade channel, fair enough, but less getting boosted / offering boosts is a good thing in my opinion.
See that’s what I like playing era - being self-sufficient & EARNING my gold for that first mount, not people playing the game for me!
Horde side is way way worse as the population is like 1/3 of Alliance. The peak is over but there are still people in leveling zones. There are very few groups forming for dungeons. Either there is a lack of tank and/or healer or people don’t group expecting one to take ages to find…
HC and season announced, summer, other games, other upcoming games…
Spend a lot of time getting to 60, depending on cluster with limited groups and dungeon runs. Then join ZG PUGs/guild runs, start raidlogging MC, AQ20… this isn’t peak gaming content.
