Loot and consumables in Fresh

I’m wondering about a few things here

  1. With “megaservers”, will the spawn rate of consumables (black lotus is the best example) change? Spawn rates might’ve worked 20 years ago, with 200 people online. If we’re talking about 5,000-10,000 people on a server, they won’t work - not even with layers. Will every black lotus still be gathered by bots that teleport underground 24/7? Even with the lotus respawning changes made in Classic, I have never managed to get one before bots got to it and it wouldn’t stay on the map for longer than 5 seconds.

  2. Loot quantity “was fine” (it wasn’t fine at all) 20 years ago, with 6 months between raiding tiers. But if the servers get rushed into BC in one year, that leaves…something like 3 months between resets. Assuming 40 players raids stay the same and assuming that bosses drop the same quantity of loot (and the usual garbage nobody wants), this will make it close to impossible for anyone to get best-in-slot gear. Is this being changed as well?

I would say the launch pop will be insane to then crater down and stabilize. If the layers will be set properly it should be fine.

I’m not sure if farming that much bis will be a thing. We know TBC will be there rendering naxx or aq gear obsolete.
