Loot Leavers

100% increase in HP and damage won’t make much of a difference for people who are 585+, which by now many players are (or at least 580+). If mobs live 10 seconds instead of 5, it’ll give some dps specs a chance to actually do damage. Everything is dying really fast at the moment.

I thought I had read it was 300%, but if it’s really just 100%, M0s will be fairly trivial.

I pray for it to be 300%. Just a measily 100% would barely be noticable.

Also wasn’t the whole point of the M+ rebalance to make M0s harder so people properly learn mechanics before entering M+?

You won’t achieve that by just slapping a mere 100% on top of basically nothing.

All I can recommend is that people try and get into premade groups for the M0 runs as pure PUGs are going to be wiping because they’ll have the mindset of “they’ll just carry me, and it’s not really a challenge, when heroic was super easy!”.

Basically, they’ll turn a normal M0 into a M+ 10 key run, but without the loot, but a lot more complaining about their mistakes being blames on other players because they quit on a single wipe xD

I’ll just try to wipe up the group then.

I think the idea was to provide a small group end game option for players who want a challenge, but don’t want to deal with a timer. But going by the heroic dungeon tuning, this is very unlikely to happen.

On the upside, though, if M0s are going to be easy, at least it won’t take much time to do all eight of them every day, for a few days. I’ll probably pug most of them and do tier 8 delves with friends. I also have two raid nights this coming week.

There are, possibly, two or three ways to stop this. Maybe even more now that i think about this.

Stop the RNG from being so oppressive that people feel the need to leave the dungeon and que with another character to circumvent the CD/deserter.

Loot at the end of the dungeon run just like in M+.

Make the dungeons worth their time. If loot is not a good enough reason to do a dungeon then i dont know what would.

What i find incredible is that this penalty was not even in place. But the penalty of 30 min for most who take it is inconsequencial to their play as they will switch to another character and continue to screw over other groups.

There needs to be a total ban on joining any groups so you cannot just switch characters to circumvent the ban.

This is possible to code but will they do it? Or will blizzard keep a 30 min ban in place which amounts to no real penalty for anti-socail behavior.

Anti-social behavior is not condoned here and enforced rigorously here. Why not ingame?

The simple solution is to make all loot be a chest at the end of a group finder run. Per boss drops if done using premades.

Why do this now when HC dungeons are meaningless in 2 days time. You will not have these leavers come Wednesday because they will all be doing M0s. This is just penalising needlessly. All that is going to happen is now is that people will behave badly to force a kick.

And if you implement an extended debuff for being kicked then that is helping no one. People will either log to another alt or log off.

And I suppose that this system will further penalize players who are ejected from the group for X reasons that are rarely valid.

For a player who doesn’t participate or voluntarily pulls 50 mobs to kill the group, that’s a justified kick, but there are plenty of other reasons to kick these days.

You don’t know the dungeon, so you observe two seconds so as not to do anything stupid that would penalize the group, you are ejected.

You complete the objectives of a dungeon quest, you are ejected. Last time i was eject cause i was going grab some gems in the donjon with kobolts.

You are a tank and have to deal with dps running everywhere, you are ejected.

You are a tank paladin, a demon hunter moves faster than you, while you rush. He pulls everything he can, which kills the group and you are ejected.

I have even seen players ejected as soon as their feet were in the instance once the ejection timer had expired.

You are healer, you have the audacity to ask the tank to calm things down, you are ejected.

And once ejected, you have to wait 20 minutes to be able to start a search again.

Many players play “elite” but we are not all 20 years old.

A 12 year old player, or a 50 year old player (my case) and over, necessarily do not have the same reflexes, the same approach.
During the Lich King days, I was one of the two highest dps in my guild. 16 years later, it’s barely even if I’m average with other players.

Being penalized because of the bad spirit of many players (often the case on French servers.) gets you tired very, very quickly and gets disgusted with the game.

Now, if wow is reserved for hardcore players, or even normal and heroic dungeons must be done seeking absolute optimization, so be it! But it is certain that the game will lose more and more people over time.

Signed, a player who has been playing wow since its US release and bought the game to play on European servers to it’s euro release.

i just call them loot boomers but sure and not thet big deal dps get new 1 5 sec less but if tank or healer oo boy wait few mint get 1 odd tank healer sort demend right now

My literal first heroic dungeon in War Within : I get inside, 3 players seem to be friends/guidies and chat nonstop in some unknown to me language (on an English server…) . After we kill first boss, I see some supposedly angry comments in party chat ( “*** **** ** ???”) and before I am done reading the sentance, trying to understand what it actually means, I get booted…

WTF, OK, f*** em, I’ll just queue again - nope, 20 minute deserter buff. WTF2.

Granted, haven’t been booted since then, and generally people seem nicer than before (last time I played before TWW was in Legion…) but maybe that’s because they don’t talk too much, or at all. Still, it was a not-so-pleasant first impression to my first lvl80 char.

I’d say, if anything has to be done, make it so people that are queueing together have a total of 1 vote when it comes to kicking, because it seems there are still a*****s that still abuse it for random reasons. All it takes is 3 friends/guidies/etc and neither me, nor the 4th guy has any say as to who gets kicked. If those 3 had 1 vote altogether, then the 4th guy decides my fate with his vote - this way the system is less prone to abuse.

No they need to add the mythic keystone chest system, so people will finish full run, add endorse system so people with good levels of endorsement get better chance at decent loot and bad luck mechanics, just force positivity.

I just wanted to add my two cents: it’s possible that there’s no perfect solution.
There are a few options but none seem to be perfect.
Let’s look at the problem:

People won’t get the Deserter debuff if they leave when a boss is down
People are grinding a lot to get their gear up to 580+ and if there’s no penalty there’s no point in doing a dungeon that won’t get you anything other then the loot you haven’t received for the boss you just killed other than sympathy.

There are people who won’t bother finishing the dungeon but as one of them I can understand why someone would leave the other instance members on their own… After all it’s not their fault it’s Blizzard’s.
For these people I have to say: you are definitely part of the problem because you believe your time is more valuable than other’s.

Looking at it this way the obvious reason would be to bring back the Deserter debuff even when a boss is down.
This could work but it could also lead to what happened in the past and someone has mentioned already: people just afk’ing and asking to be kicked. Instead of being immediate it would could potentially waste even more time.

The suggestion of having a loot chest at the end of the dungeon doesn’t seem so farfetched but what would that mean for Postmaster? The devs would have to make it so the dungeon loot would not go to your mailbox but is that really something Blizzard wants to do? Is that really something players are willing to give up? Would it be viable at this time to invest in developing that feature?

My point is: it’s hard to fix this and even if it weren’t people will still find ways to be a bit douchy.

This being said maybe what could work is instead of punishing people who leave reward people who stay. The loot is a problem? Give them a (random) guaranteed drop from the dungeon’s bosses after the last one is killed.

It’s just better to leave those groups right away when you spot them.

Or give people more incentive to stay if they dont get what they came for. Penalties is not a solution 99% of the time. Just give people what they want. I did stonevault 35 times to get shard on my paladin. Safe to say it didnt drop, i got traded by a dude who didnt need it. Also even if you leave mid dungeon a replacement comes within 30 seconds, so its not that big of a deal anyways. You completely missed the point of this post. Leavers are not the problem, your loot distribution system is.

so effecitbely you want to force people into boosting others without any reward for doing it only pusnishemnt when they refuse to carry ?

2 Weeks i burned myself and i have done near 200 dungeons with 8 chars-80 lvl

Until now from those 200 dungeons only 1 person left in those 200~dungeons on stonevault (70 Dungeons with Main /hunter for valor/upgrade~ 50~ dungeons for my Enchanter warr and many more from the rest of my alts.)

That’s right 1 leaver~ and 2 dps that went offline ( 1 came back an apologize saying Sorry~ yep such persons exist )

But when i read i had 10 times and xx times a leaver… Okey relax

Also from tomorrow no one going to bother with Lf …so what are you going to complain …that people left from M+ or from raid ??
There is also a Topic that people want m+ leaver to get Ban…yep !! Laughable…

I believe that the new generation is a generation of constantly complainers and never be satisfied no matter they get… I expect tomorrow , Delves are hard , are impossible , the gear is not 689ilvl and such post …

If you don’t want leaver , make a group , join a guild and play as you want .
