Another suggestion: Remove all equipment drops from dungeon and make every boss drop crafting materials. Force everyone to gear up exclusively through crafting.
Can it not punish people who leave after others have left? Sometimes you just cannot get more people in a queue after 2 or more have left and then you get penalized for 15 minutes when it was impossible to regroup.
I had this happen in MOP Remix when the Cloudserpent got stuck in that one dungeon because everyone killed the panda monk too fast.

But just so everybody undertands the economic implications of what they´re asking for: in a normal addon, roughly 66-75% of the cloth on the market comes from N/HC dungeon mobs. Currently also “not so unimportant” things like scrap for engineers drop from these mobs.
So if the trash also stops dropping, which is to be assumed if they simply switch all dungeon loot to a M*-ish system, then even whatever the current green bags will start to go for probably something like 5k gold, most engineering toys will start going for 6 digit sums, and the mount will be goldcap simply because of the sheer amount of open world grinding necessary to get enough scrap to sift through for parts.
And of course much the crafted gear that is BiS for many players (engineering bracers and /or cloth armor) will also become an absolute luxury that most can´t afford without swiping for a token.
Vote kicks need to be separately tracked from quitters or else this deserter debuff plan is just further enabling people to be toxic little s .
Which is --if the past few days have been anything to go by-- a considerable part of the WoW player base.
Yeah, it’s still happening with no debuff in place, as people are still leaving on the 1st boss kill in dungeons. Hate to bite the bullet so to speak to farm the weekly crest cap, and you can say to yourself “OK, so how many are going to leave now?”.
I think out of the 7 or 8 heroics I did today, maybe 5 of those dungeons had at least 1 leaver each.
Maybe a silly suggestion from my side, or maybe it has already been discussed internally, but how about a loot chest at the end of the dungeon on normal / heroic / mythic just like mythic+ has?
The same chest but a possibility for loot from each boss for any player that was elligible?
Ppl who leave tend to be the highest dps are you missing the carry?
It takes no time to replace ppl even tanks.

Loot leavers only feed more loot leavers, do not add bigger penalty just add the mythic+ keystone chest system at end of dungeon instead, and have a system in place that lets players give each other positive feedback, where 1 player can give feedback to 4 players, so people are forced to be nice.
The reward for being nice better loot.
I’ll still do it and wait out the deserter buff. Its still better than wasting time.
As everything else, I am assuming its gonna take another 5 years for Blizzard to finally learn that a deterministic approach to itemization is much better than the RNG fiesta. But I guess the “WOHHHH LOOT” and the dopamine rush is too important for Blizzard and its players. Yes, some players too. Players that are addicted to that dopamine hit.
M0 will be +100 % on health and DMG of mobs. Its gonna be brutal for majority of pugs WHO underestimate them

You don’t feel any damage in heroics unless you pull at least 7 packs at once, doubling that would still feel rather underwhelming imo.

I’m sure I’ve seen a video Mythic dungeon bosses having different abilities, that they throw out.
Unless it’s just M+ and not M0, then M0 will not be any different, but I do hope we’ll see M+ style abilities from the bosses.
Yes, Mythic difficulty usually comes with 1 or 2 new mechanics/abilities.
M0 usually already features those new abilities as it’s the “training grounds” for M+ so to speak. The only difference between M0 and M+ should be scaling, the timer and affixes.
