It came to the realization of night elves theologians and priestesses that Elune is, and has always been a Naaru-robot made by the First Ones eons ago. Unlike most Naaru however, she traveled to the realm of Life and embraced this cosmic magic within herself. Now, a goddess of two worlds, Elune the Life-Light Naaru has decided to give her divine blessing to the faithful night elves, infusing them with her Light: those who accept the gift, may become paladins.
New skin option: golden eyes night elf.
Oh, and Priestesses of the Moon are just regular priests using the normal Light now.
How? Alliance had Paladins (Human n Dwarf) and Horde had shammy (Orc+Troll), they had one druid each (Tauren/Nelf), honestly, outside of Draenei getting shammy and Paladin, and Belves getting Paladin, none of the rest of those classes being added to other races made a load of sense to me, ofc they “made sense of it” through their added lore ect, I just think its overkill when every race has access to what was originally “hero classes” unique classes tied specifically to certain orders serving a particular race or whatever, the same way I dont think Nelves or most Paladin races should have that class I also wouldnt want humans to get Druids or Shammys, even stuff like Harvest Witches/Drust based druids is lame imo, Im just not personally a big fan of the new wow style of “Oh yeah, we all basically have the exact same religions/classes, just worded slightly different n gained it elsewhere” but to each their own
2 of 3 human nationalities have playable druids.
1 of 3 human nationalities has playable shaman.
Humans have, outside of Evoker and DH every class playable.
So kinda late to say you wouldn’t want humans to get druid or shaman.
None of us is, we don’t want class homegenation but some us want to have every class available for every race, but with “class skins” or atleast in-Lore acknowledge meant that a night elf paladin =/= Silver Hand Paladin, or atleast somethinflg along those lines.
Because they were everywhere in game? Unlike death knights and demon hunters they aren’t even really treated as anything special. You’re just a holy warrior.

Human shamans have been a thing since Classic. In the lore both new and old humans were shamans and druids before they turned to worshipping the Light.
Arent now, used to be though, The Order of the Silver Hand, an elite force created to battle the “death knights” of the first Orcish Horde, now they arent special, sure
Used to be. But they haven’t been since 2004. In either case as long as paladins haven’t been special we have also had human shamans in the game and illusions to human druids in the lore.
Yup, preferences I guess, just not my thing really, had they kept it like it used to be, these class/race combos would still feel special imo, unique, when everyones a paladin or druid or shammy it just doesnt feel unique or cool in any way for me
Remember, our adventurers are the most special of the special. Our playable characters having the ability to become all places does not mean it is the norm or even common place in the lore for their races.
