Does any1 know who are strongest lorewise between Paladin and Death Knight?
Not in-game, PVP etc. But pure lore.

Well I would go with paladins.
It was Tirion Fordring that broke frostmourne in two with the power of the Light and made the strongest DK ever vulrenable so that has to be something I guess🤔

True. But think about it. When Tirion engaged Arthas at the top of ICC, he immideately paralyzed him with ice. Like, without any problem at all.

paladins have OP holy soil or smth in Eastern Plaguelands which can even turn back Lich King, out side of that DKs seem more capable

We don’t know it, no.
If we are looking at the Cosmology then that would be Paladins,since Light is stronger then the shadow magic that the Dk’s use.But the thing is Dk’s have a stronger arsenal of combinations at there disposal,so a skilled rune/magic using Dk is a foe to recon with.

Pretty hard to make a statement on that.
Because when you think of strongest the Paladin, you think of Tirion - and Arthas when you think of the strongest Death Knight.
Arthas were an actual paladin before - dont get me wrong, i know you all know this. But imo i dont think Arthas learned to use the light on a “master-level”, like Tirion did.
So it is definately a difficult choice to make. If just @blizzard could tell us. Haha

Depends on the paladin’s faith and both his and the DK’s weapons. Tirion and the LK were both superpowers more or less because of what they wielded.
Otherwise it’s really pretty even. Two polar opposites.
Not sure what we are now discusing the class or the characters.If we go by class then its a clear win for Paladins.
When we look at the Dk’s side you have up and downs in power shift.The first Dk’s from Guldan where former shaman/locks turned into Dk’s,but most of the Wrath Ebon dk’s are former paladin dk’s so that makes the more deadly to paladins,while the paladins crushed the dk’s from Guldan in the first war.
This is the problem with the dk side so much power switching in scale over time.But make no mistake Arthas LK was the most powerful LK and there is no oposition it was the LK at the height of his power.Same as it’s common to say that Arthas LK is stronger by a landslide then Nerhzul or Fordragon LK.

But i think the discussion is about who are the strongest force.
Overall, are Paladins or Death Knights the strongest. Not like PVP ingame, but lore wise. Are the light stronger than the dark, or opposite.
In terms of classes Death Knights are the strongest melees on Azeroth, unstoppable juggernauts of death.
In terms of gameplay Paladin.
In terms of lore Arthas instantly encased Tirion in a block of ice, through which Tirion could only escape with the full strength of the light WHEN Arthas was greatly weakened by the players during the fight, had to use large amounts of power to kill the players and even more power to raise them as the scourge’s greatest champions.
A bit off topic i know but did we really weakened him though? Or he was just testing(“playing”) us and when he realized we were good enough he decided to raise us as his champions
DK is by far the strongest class lore wise.
The only class that comes close would be Mage.
Well that was the whole point of ICC, he wanted to cultivate the greatest elite soldiers for his personal army.
But Ashbringer had a trick up its sleeve and shattered Frostmourne.

Warlocks are not even close.
Their power is quick power gain but then it destroys the body and soul.
And their power ceiling isn’t comparable to a Mage.
They’re just a shortcut to quick power.
Oke then that fits the Cosmology answer,light is higher tier force hence Paladins.
The thing with wlock is they are mostly former mages,and fel is indeed stronger then Arcane,brute example Sargeras crushed the entire Pantheon.
Thats another topic tho. Warlocks vs Mages.
But imho, i dont think that DK’s are the strongest lore wise. They are definately strong. - But Mages, Warlocks and Priest overcome them.
No they aren’t, warlocks were former Shamans traditionally.

He isn’t just a warlock though. He is a God and he was the strongest among them prior to resorting to fel magic in any shape or form.
DKs are strong against magic in the lore.

Im just one of many that cant decide wether to play paladin or death knight… Always been melee - i somehow just suck playing ranged, and now i cant decide what to play of those above.
