Except it’s not challenging in the least. Reset till you get a the right boss/powers is not a challenge… unless you count staying awake.
Your comments about diablo being dead is sad, but that’s diablos problem. Like I’ve said countless times, I bought wow, not diablo.
Like I said in my last post, I’ve given up on it. I have my legendary, I have no need to keep it upgraded, I’m not a high end raider. I do think it’s unfair to have main content locked behind something that is basically not even wow.
But don’t worry, no amount of crying is going to get it reverted. It will keep people like yourself grinding for the next two years just so they don’t get branded casual…
I love Torghast, and I love the challenge. I did layer 6 today on my Warrior, I just love the whole concept of building power and finding synergy to create a powerful character.
But I can understand it’s difficult, for a new player maybe far too difficult… But I’m not sure all content has to be for everyone, you can gear up already to the point where a layer 3 isn’t significant, and if it is you can do it as a group… Otherwise it’s completely ok for you to progress slower, Blizzard can’t have challenging content that gives the most loot while also 100% catering to newer players.
It’s like Mythic raids vs LFR, the difference in difficulty is like sea level to Mt Everest, the difference in rewards are also large. LFR is for everyone, Mythic ain’t.
I feel the Op’s pain on a hunter. Biggest issue I had was the sins that keep spawning which take chunks out of you and not having a decent on demand heal to counter, plus running into the boss on the last section that divides- not a great thing for a lowish geared hunter to face!
I get that it felt annoying- had the same feeling of a waste of my time, but that’s the way it is on certain classes which have way more of a hard time in there than others.
However, it doesn’t make me feel like rage quitting- just makes me want to try again another night, check for different tactics, and check for adjustments that they are continually making to the levels. For instance, there are now more healing type things you can bring up.
And if you’re struggling, make sure you kill every single mob and destroy every container to maximise your boosts- they completely make the difference so far.
there is no rush to get your legendary so if the top level is too hard just breeze through 2 until your ilvl is higher.
Ive got no gear & the new one is awful with their spears & more spears BUT no way was level 3 gonna beat me, so i went level 1 And I wont be back for months.
i wont say Git gud , i will say give Torghast some time , some runs will give you Trash tier Anima powers , try to compensate that with actual gear , do some heroics / Mythics / M+ , around 160 ilvl it becomes much easier and tbh torghast till now at lvl 6 is still way easier than challange tower in Legion.
Easy fix is to add something like determination. If you make floor 6 but fail the boss you get 20% health and 5% DPS for your next highest run which can stack a couple of times.
Therefore you don’t get free Soul Ash but are helped and have incentives to go again
Welcome to life. It sucks sometimes! Git gud or get carried with friends.
Mortegath was harsh last week. Ran it 7 times on same toon over the week. The reward is playing the game, not the loot. Loot is there to get access to more gameplay.
They really must at least add some portion of anima in the end of every run, even failed one, if you reached the final boss. That wont hurt the game balance.
Actually you can aggro one elite without aggroing the other elite despite they stand close to each other. Odd mechanic. But it works in most cases.
You can also pick up ordinary mobs standing around or close to elites without aggroing the elites. Just take your time and be patient.
Well. The mechanics in Torghast are weird. If I have 2 elites in front of me I have to roll a dice and aggro the right one without aggroing the other elite. If I aggro the wrong elite both gets aggroed.
Mort or floors with the tele platforms? Yeah aggro there is wonky i’ve found too. A mob can be miles away from you and it seems in many cases unless they’re fighting another mob they will aggro you as soon as you land regardless of where you are. I can stealth as soon as I land, actually get into stealth and the mob will still be in combat with me and charge towards me.
Between this aggro, reviving mobs and vanishing mobs who gank later i’ve never vanished and skipped so many torg mobs before. Just CBA with all that. I feel for those classes who can’t just ignore packs like that.
The most trouble I’ve had so far involved a narrow chain between two platforms; hitting the centre piece at the wrong angle caused my character to bounce off it and down into the abyss.
Also a corridor consisting of 3 pendulum axes and 3 sets of floor spikes at alternating patterns. Couldn’t figure out how to cross through it safetly, so i made a run for it but was hit by the middle axe which flung me onto the spikes.
General policy is if you feel forced to do something in a game, an activity that you’re not going to enjoy - don’t do it. Lol. What’s the worst that’ll happen? You won’t have gear to tackle content that doesn’t hand out welfare rewards?
heres a wild idea how about cater for the casuals who have to work and only want to pvp allow us to earn our currency via pvp for our legendaries i dont have time to grind pointless pve crap
